Re: Has all interest in Boktai died?

Hello Artemio , That is a shame. Another franchise that has died a quiet death. I have often brought up in the past that developers should focus more on creating new franchises than always rehashing old ones (think of popular Modern War shooters, or Final Fantasy games in Japan), but I do wish that ...

Has all interest in Boktai died?

Hello people, This forum and the internet has been quite quiet about the Boktai games since Lunar Knights was released years ago and now I am wondering if the interest in the game franchise has truly died :( I honestly hope not as I rather liked this little series and would love to see it being revi...

Re: Your personal top 10 games?

Hi guys, Well I shall try to narrow down my list of favorite games to just ten, but it is going to be tricky and my favorites might not be exactly in the order of favorite to most favorite games. Fallout (PC) This is pretty much my introduction to Pen and Paper inspired Western RPGs and Post Apocaly...

Re: Re:

western games suck. period They always have. The only exception might be Ron Gilbert and the LucasArts classics, but after that it's nothing but JUNK, nothing but silly, soulless FPSs, RTSs or garbage like GrandTheftAuto Well I liked some of the writing in Fallout 1 and 2, Planescape Torment, and D...

They probably forgot to update their release list, the same happens in ToTheGame which lists games that came out several years ago as TBA.

Re: Kojima Productions New IP Revealed Soon?

I just found out about the new MGS game on a Dutch game site, I guess just like how I parted with the Star Trek franchise when Enterprise came out and now that new Star Trek movie, this new MGS is the one that makes me part with the Metal Gear franchise. I fortunately still have MG2: SS and MG: Ghos...

You know what?
With this and last year already being a shitty game year for me I honestly don't know if I should be happy with this news or not.

The impact of having everything I liked being turned to shit.

the msx2 metal gear, so when I saw the mgs in psx I thought it was shorter then mg2 and not much inovative since it reused most of mg2 stuff. Did you play Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake before it was translated by fans? (or you're Japanese, in that case this doesn't apply) I hate the fact that we got to ...

Re: Which of you have Boktai 3

What I wish would be that the Boktai/MM crossover content is restored, the extra items and the optional boss. As for Boktai 2, I really liked San Miguel setting but loosing the gun was indeed frustrating. I think it was removed for most of the time to sell the game more as an RPG. To me Boktai 3 is ...

Re: Kojima Productions New IP Revealed Soon?

Gods, not more Metal Gear, let it die dammit, let it die!!!!!!! Will the goddamn fanboys be never happy enough until MGS is so milked out that not even they will touch it. I hope this is a some trick on Kojima's side, and that he plans an incredible new game completely unrelated to Metal Gear franch...

Re: Kojima Productions New IP Revealed Soon?

Well there was some talk about the Gurlukovich army (hope I wrote that right) but we really didn't need to see them appear. Okay just little games but the Boktai series was a good balance between gameplay and 'cinematics' thought I do not know how big Kojima was involved after the initial concept. A...

Re: Kojima Productions New IP Revealed Soon?

To this day I still consider Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake as one of the better examples of good balance between gameplay and cinematics, how simple it may have been at the time.

It would be nice of Kojima embraced gameplay again.

Re: Kojima Productions New IP Revealed Soon?

And it will sell a lot. Even if just for saying it's a bad game, people will buy and play it. So there is no reason not to do a MGS5. It's profitable. I do get that, but it has reached a point that it no longer has any meaning. It is difficult to describe but if you make games with a story there mu...

From what you showed me Dick Motorman it will most likely will turn out to be MGS5.

If that is the case, I wonder why I still bother following the news on Kojima's new game.

Re: Kojima Productions New IP Revealed Soon?

It's probably another Metal Gear, isn't it? I fear most likely. Regarding a sequel to Snatcher, me and Dick Motorman were discussing suggestions of how a sequel could be. As you all know, Snatcher was inspired by Blade Runner, my suggestion for Snatcher 2 would be John Carpenter's The Thing. The ga...

I still hope its either Snatcher related or something completely new, please let Metal Gear die in peace and stop digging it up its corp...

Damn, being a fellow PC gamer I would love to give you advice on what games you should honestly play. Plus mos...

Re: AVGN Metal Gear Review

Like most people here I just watch his reviews for entertainment value and to see what he managed to dig up. At one thing we have to agree, the horrible 'jungle' scene really screws things up. Not much thought had been put in that one. Its sometimes easier to be pissed about some games than about ot...
