Re: Kojima Productions New IP Revealed Soon?
Well think of a FPS Kojima Style, something weirder than XIII or something like that. Thanks for the Link!! I stopped looking for the video yesterday, or the day before that? internet goblins, bah (who needs this long to upload a video?(())) yeah, it took a while, who knows why XIII is definetely i...

Re: New MGS confirmed, and on the 360.
Well, at E3 today Kojima did in fact confirm the production of his new MGS game, and he also confirmed that it will be on the Xbox as well. In my opinion there isn't much he can do to fuck up the series further than he already has. From what I heard at the conference, it will be Raiden fighting alo...

MGO Usernames?
*I tried looking for this topic elsewhere on the forums, but figured it exists, feel free to merge or delete this pot if thats the case. Alrighty, so I'm bored, & today is the fist day of online classes for me, which means MGO when I'm not studying :D. If anyone is down to play, send a message v...

Re: What type of game should the next MGS be? (If it gets made)
A stand alone game that takes place in a post-MGS4 world, but the ending of the game reveals (the ending being the last portion of the gameplay + story, not after the credits; this has been done already & everyone would expect the usual hints at the end, which should be ditched for the first or ...

Re: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Easily one of the saddest movies I've ever seen. Were I not in the company of others, I would've shed a few, silent man tears throughout the movie. Interestingly, the screenwriter, eric roth, also wrote forrest gump, which in hindsight, you can easily see the influences & similarities. I'm glad ...

Re: i + ! The Next Metal Gear Is...
Well, I'm dissapointed that it's not a new PS3 game, a prequel, a Substance version of MGS4, etc etc... But I'm relieved that it's a game that I can probably live without. :P I wouldn't be surprised if someone with an Iphone / Itouch, who also knew their way around programming, managed to torrent a...

Re: according to EGM
How could anybody (on these forums at least) be excited about this is beyond me. FPSs are the worst thing ever happened to the videogame industry. Holy shit, that is the worst thing I have ever seen on a forum, you are entitled to your opinion but.. damn man. You are sadly mistaken, they are more r...

Re: i + ! The Next Metal Gear Is...
Wrong; Sony's trump card is not MGS, and even if it was, they've already used it with MGS4, as MGS4 more or less wrapped up the storyline, and future MGS games will be riskier to develop & not will not be ensured successful sales. Sony's trump card would be as simple as lowering their prices; Mi...

Re: i + ! The Next Metal Gear Is...
This would be my guess. As sucessful as MGO is on PS3 (compared to the previous outing on PS2), the only way MGO will survive in the long run is to be online for 360, which already has an insane amount of FPS next-gen shooting online players anyways. It would be an excellent mine of new MGO users to...

Re: Kojima's political views ?
lol @ commie. Kojima seems to operate from an historically exploratory viewpoint rather than any strict political viewpoint. I would actually venture that his approach is somewhat libertarian (although not in a blunt, espousing the basic premises & concepts of libertarianism type way), as he doe...

Re: What Will Kojima's New IP Be Like?
I actually found the border-line yaoi of Raiden & Vamp more offensive than anything else in that game. That's really the only time I ever felt like fan service was being shoved down my throat. Especially since it wasn't even hinted in the previous game, and Vamp's character get's completely dimi...

Re: Konami "Retro-Revival" Sequel.
IMO, Iron Man was legitly good. It wasn't incredible, but you'd be amazed at what a few perfect casting choices (Robert Downey Jr., Jeff Bridges, hell, Gwenyeth Paltrow was almost not-annoying in this movie), economical use of special effects, and a good script can do for a movie. Yes it had a bit o...

Re: This is some funny stuff
Tries way too hard. It does make me smile, but I'm bitter at how good an idea the comic is, and how I would've liked to have done it first, but in execution, panels go on too long and/or the comic re-uses similar webcomic jokes that have been recycled since Penny Arcade went online. Essentially, the...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance W/ Document as 2nd Disc?
I just took a closer look at my PS2 case, and the shading you referred to in the pic is not due to the camera taking the pic, apparently. I took out the sleeve and inspected it, and it looks like this shading (it's a spherical shape, similar to a moon) was purposely printed on the actual sleeve art....

Re: Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance W/ Document as 2nd Disc?
I have the PAL release and it looks like that, only that the cover you've got lacks that swirly blue wave at the bottom...strange. Yea, this is another reason why I don't think this is a rip-off: if this MGS2 Substance w/Document were for PAL only, then both discs would be PAL, not NTSC. Also, he h...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance W/ Document as 2nd Disc?
It looks like someone took a two disk PS2 case, and just put both games in there, with the Substance manual and front cover. I think it's a rip-off, since there was no release package like that, as far as I can remember. I'm not sure, it wouldn't make sense since I ended up paying way less for this...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance W/ Document as 2nd Disc?
See, that's what I thought originally when bidding for it, but I asked the seller to re-confirm, and he said it was NTSC region only. I just popped it in my PS2 and it plays perfectly fine. That's why I'm confused since I never read about any limited copies of the NTSC MGS2: Substance coming with/ D...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance W/ Document as 2nd Disc?
I will try and look for some pics online since I can't find my camera currently... However, this is not The Document of MGS2 in it's own case, with a 2nd disc. What I have is Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (as the 1st disc), with the 2nd disc being The Document Of MGS2. The cover is the normal cover ...

Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance W/ Document as 2nd Disc?
Recently, amid the other MGS games I aqquired, I won a bidding on The Document of MGS2, although oddly enough, it comes as the 2nd disc with MGS2: Substance. I don't remember coming across this anywhere else, but it's apparently legit. Does anyone know what kind of edition this (for labeling / colle...

Re: Metal Gear Series not done yet?
Definitely agree with you two on RPGs, and not just JRPGS you know, Western RPGs have suffered as well. I don't know how to explain it but I think the problem lies with the idea set behind the game mechanics, were as the 'old' RPGs were based on the concept of recreating the old pen and paper games...
