Re: How to do ???
searching the forums I found a similar topic from a while back. You might check the potential solutions here. That thread is about a different emulator (KEGA on a mac), but I believe you are running in to the same problem caused by ISO/MP3 rips of the game.

Re: Flashback: The Quest for Identity
To quote IGN: "The version for the Apple devices seems to be a very, very rushed conversion of the open source emulator that's been made available to the public domain. The controls use a virtual D-pad that appears anywhere the player rests his thumb, with action buttons firmly located on the l...

Re: Sega CD Wii Emulator + Snatcher Could Be Amazing.
Oh, I didn't remember that turbo duo was the equivalent of PC-Engine CD, nor did I know that there were any CD games available for the virtual console. I do realized that Nintendo would professionally make an emulator, I was just pointing out that it would raise their overhead cost and/or lower the ...

Re: Sega CD Wii Emulator + Snatcher Could Be Amazing.
I don't know this for a fact but I wouldn't imagine Sega CD games being larger then N64 games ore Turbo Duo games and if it is couldn’t they use some fancy twenty first century compression tricks any CD game is going to be significantly larger than a cartridge game. Even if nintendo/sega were to us...

I've said this before, but since its thanksgiving it seemed appropriate again. I'm thankful for the hard work of all the individuals who were involved in the original development and the fan translation of Policenauts. Great work guys, and thanks again!

Re: Snatcher characters in Policenauts?
what i remember about the calendar I saw that calendar and thought it looked like that snatcher image as well, so I looked at it (but not until I went back to use the T-Gear in the middle of the night) and Chris said that it was from the year 2047 and was some video game promotional thing that Ishid...

Re: • Policenauts Veterans Thread: Sign Here Ifu Beat The Game •
Just beat the game, very much enjoyed it :) thanks again to those involved I'm kinda surprised about what others are saying about the shooting sequences. I also died a handful of times defusing the bomb, but the only shooting sequence that I had trouble with was Salvatore, who killed me several time...

Re: Feature requests for future versions
It's hard to judge since I'm still in Act 1, but it seems to me that the cutscenes could use nameplates to clarify who is speaking. Also, isn't it more difficult to duplicate Saturn discs? All I have is an AR 4 in 1, which bypasses the region lock. I don't think it would dupe the system into bootin...

Re: My ePSXe settings
nope, everything can be done with the mouse. you never control your movement with the keyboard/controller and you reload by clicking at the edge of the screen. i was planning on playing the game with a controller, but once i tried the mouse I can't imagine playing it any other way. edit: whoops, som...

Re: Report issues here
Hey guys, I've had the opposite effect from most of you in this thread claiming that the E}I{'s 0.98 plug-in causes the game to crash at shooting sequences. In fact, when I try and use Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.7 at all, it crashes right off the bat. The E}I{'s 0.98 plug-in actually works smoothly on...

Re: Policenauts Social Thread
I'm on a mac, and unless im remembering wrong, only ePSXe has mouse support, so I would have to either run boot camp or a virtual machine to use a mouse.
Edit: after reading the readme, I might just have to go with the recommended set up I guess... Virtual Machine it is I suppose.

Re: Policenauts Social Thread
unfortunately PSX isn't an option for me, since I don't have a PSX and my PS2 isn't modded, but I do have a USB to Saturn and PS2 controller adapter for my computer. Right now I'm leaning towards the saturn controller, unless there is any need for the analog sticks. Is there?

This isnt a forum, but a made a quick update to the wikipedia page. OK, I'm gonna go through the whole process step by step because this long list of posts could be confusing. BUT before that, i will just reiterate that this is by far the best option. barring that, or assuming that you want to back up your own copy as an ISO/mp3 rip (which logic i dont understand gi...

Re: Freezing issue on emulator
This problem has been bugging the crap out of me, so i downloaded an ISO/mp3 rip and gave it a go. With the generic cue sheet here i got past the turbocycle ride, but the weird part is that it never even showed gillian in the turbocycle. so that makes me nervous as far as future cut scenes go that a...
