Re: Jeremy Blaustein Interview Request

I'd forgotten just how wonderful this is. You get the impression this was particularly cathartic for Blaustein, and he's incredibly honest and a naturally funny dude. I was howling at a lot of this. Too many highlights to mention. A real pleasure hearing it again, thanks.

Re: Jeremy Blaustein Interview Request

Hey Artemio, I hate to do this again, but do you still have this interview? I suffered a hard drive crash some time between this thread and now, and it's impossible to find these MP3s anywhere on the Net. I promise to hold on to it this time.

Re: Patch is up

Slightly silly request perhaps, but what is the font you guys used for the English patch subtitles? It's gorgeous . It's the same font as MGS's, isn't it? Or MGS2's, maybe? Popular font-identifying website 'What the Font' failed to recognise it, disappointingly... Also, a slightly less pressing quer...

Jeremy Blaustein Interview Request

Hey now, I'd like to make a perfectly selfish request. Feel free to put me in my place. However: Would anybody happen to have a copy of the Jeremy Blaustein telephone interview that was hosted here and here before 'MGS: The Unofficial Site' (yup, the only one on the web, incredibly) went kaput. The ...

Re: Blade Runner Game

The trick with that one is to click like crazy once you're out the door. You'll notice when playing that the more times you click in a direction you'd like McCoy to go in he'll go faster; so once he's out of the building, don't just single-click a part of the street far away from the building, octup...

Re: Feature requests for future versions

Has anybody else brought up Jonathan's use of the word "fag" yet? If it's consistent with the original Japanese, then I'm all for leaving it alone, but it does seem like quite an odd thing for him to say. Yes it was discussed at SA. It is indeed consistent with the original Japanese. Ah. ...

Re: Feature requests for future versions

God should absolutely be capitalised, no matter the context. A weird thing I noticed is that the number of full-stops in elipses kept jumping between three and four. Using four is quite odd, though I actually don't mind it as a style choice, as long as it's consistent. Unless this is just directly t...

Ohhh, so that's what they were getting at with the references to the headscarf....

Those other two were particularly tricky to spot - cheers for those. I'll look out for Random next time.

Snatcher characters in Policenauts?

According to this Metal Gear Wiki , there are cameos by Snatcher characters in Policenauts , namely featuring Jamie, Random and Napoleon. Something I'd read in a few places previously was that Napoleon makes an appearance at a hospital at some point, but having looked out for him throughout the game...

Edit: Problems solved, ignore this. Great work on the patch, guys, though I'm unsure about the Britishisms ("bloody hell!" and "how are you, mate?"). They don't seem right somehow. Don't get me wrong, though - that's just an observation rather than a moan. I couldn't be more grat...

From what I've seen so far, Escape from Monkey Island boasts possibly the largest original-to-sequel quality drop in history. Even compared to Curse of Monkey Island, which was also much weaker than 1 & 2 (but still quite good), it seemed maddeningly, unplayably atrocious. I couldn't manage much...

I honestly don't know what I'd do if you stopped letting me know what films you were watching on a particular day, ratperson665. It's one of the few things left that I really look forward to.

And everyone hates Eraserhead, but it's for very different reasons. It's that damn unique! What in Jonestown makes you say that? I absolutely love it personally, and it's probably the most critically successful of Lynch's films - according to Rotten Tomatoes , it is, anyway. It has a 93% rati...

"I also heard that from someone else before as well" sounds like "here's my evidence you little Swiss dog." That is what you were implying, isn't it?

'So there' was just said in jest, hence the italics, but now I REALLY AM ANGRY.

Well, yeah. I was disagreeing with the statement that he hadn't read it before finishing the film. That Wiki flatly contradicts what you posted.

Pre-production, mid-production, whatever - they've both got the word 'production' in them, so there.
