Re: What I'd like in a new Metal Gear title.

I'm pretty opposed to remaking the original Metal Gear games. It would be incredibly weird to play some of the parts. Running Man would be weird, the hang-glider, Flamethrower-ing Big Boss, hell even the Fist Fight with Grey Fox would be weird. And that's only in MG2. The desert and swimming sectio...

Re: What I'd like in a new Metal Gear title.

Hm. Isn't it funny how the MGS fans who think MGS4 was too much of a fan-fic game are the fans who think MGS4 wasn't enough like what they wanted?

Re: What I'd like in a new Metal Gear title.

What do I want to see in a new Metal Gear title?

Hideo Kojima. Period.

according to MGSnaked, Big Boss does tell Snake that he is his father, but only in a subtle way though. Apparently, one of Big Boss' final line about ("One who has experienced the tension of battle can never leave the battlefield. I am the one giving you something to live for, and that is war&...

87th, you've obviously figured out the whole disc 2 problem. Any way that I could get the proper disc 2 save data, or the correct cwcheat folder? I'm guessing you know where to find up-to-date stuff. The latter would probably be preferable, since I'd be able to get seperate Meryl/Otacon data myself...

Hm. I still can't find any of the proper cwcheat stuff, the modified folder or anything, so I have no idea how to proceed on that front. I've been looking for some MGS disc 2 save data that I could load, but the only file I found so far turned out to be a RAR, not a VMP, which is how my computer rea...

Yeah, that's what I'm looking at, but the problem is that their link for the modified folder you need to make it all work is long done. Could somebody with the right one fill me in on where to find it?

How about making multidisc games to work? At the moment I'm stuck between discs on MGS, and simply transfering the save data from disc 1 to disc 2 hasn't helped. I have no idea why I thought it would.

Any idea of where to find this kind of information, at least?

Metal Gear: MG, MG2 (both MSX and Subsistence) , MGS (both PSX and NGC/TTS), MGS2, MGS3 (both original and Subsistence), MPO.

Snatcher: Sega-CD.

That's the extent of my collection, so far.

To me, the mix of genres wasn't too bad, for two reasons. It does a pretty good job of at least attempting to put you into the mindset of a millitary leader, distributing goods among soldiers, sending them to different areas and so forth. Its focus wasn't 100 percent on stealth action this time, but...

He certainly wrote the story, provided the original concept and did the basic game design. Really, a lot of Japanese games don't always distribute the authorship where it's due-- if you believed the credits at the end of Nintendo games, Miyamoto didn't do anything but "Produce" Mario or Ze...

Really? I thought it broke some pretty interesting ground, in a few areas. Granted, the camera system proves why the classic, top-down angle is best, and some of the level design was a bit too claustrophobic, but I was surprised, for one thing, by how Kojima's use of boss battles really matured this...

About PO+, is this simply an add-on to the original game, or the original game revamped? I don't understand why they'd package it in Japan with the original game if it was everything in the original plus more. It's like Integral, Substance and Subsistence. The original game plus extras. *cough* Yea...

Whatever happens, more games is a certainty. It's a huge money-maker for Konami. I agree. I just hope Kojima pays attention to what's being done. Besides, it's fertile ground for him to try out new ideas in game design. Perhaps we could really see him explore the experimental side of MGS after the ...

So as much as Kojima says otherwise, is an updated MGS4 in 2009 all but certain? Kojima will announce it alongside his latest gaming project - Metal Gear Solid 5. Let's hope that if he does more, he goes back and revamps the stories of Outer Heaven and Zanzibar Land. If MGS4 is meant to be the &quo...

Age doesn't have much to do with whether or not something qualifies as a classic. You can get such a thing as a "modern classic", you know? No, my friend. There is no such thing as a "modern classic." That's just a lie TNT cooked up to convince people to watch The Shawshank Rede...

I know I'm jumping to conclusions here, but I saw this render advertising MGO today, and the man to Snake's left immediately reminded me of Shinkawa version of Master Miller from MetalGear 2. I know that Miller was portrayed as blonde in the MGS artwork, but that was Liquid's disguise, that may hav...

"Infinity Mission" sounds promising. Anyway, looks to me like they're testing how much of Metal Gear imagery is realisable on the PSP. Perhaps this means we can look forward to remakes of the original MSX games, or at least a legitimate port of the original Playstation MGS. I'm still curio...

La Jetee doesn't really end with a plane taking off. The ending takes place at an air-port, for sure, but that's not the focus of the final scene. Same thing with Twelve Monkeys.
