I doubt it. DNAS and advanced authentication methods would make it much more difficult to reverse engineer a server.

Hell, Phantasy Star Online was a completely isolated case.

Oh please. It would be half the film it is now if they had called it Pacific Air 121.

I liked the movie because it delivered on everything it promised--no more, and no less. There were snakes. On a plane.

Getting back to the point, Kojima would've had more fans, more cash and yet another smash-hit on his hands, like the Metal Gear series. Do you really think the number of English speaking people who would import the game on on the basis that it was subtitled would justify the costs of such a transla...

Japanese on the other hand.... :P My school teaches. :) We have to be one of the few schools in the country that does. It's alright, if you're willing to put up with the unshowering, self-proclaimed おたく yelling out "KAWA-EEEE!" every five seconds. I've always wanted to learn Spanish. I fi...

Yeah, if you're really interested in learning the language, the best thing to do would be laying down some money for a real lesson in a classroom environment.

(I don't have broadband at my house, so I'm going to have to go play at other peoples' houses) Internet Connection Sharing is always a valid option, but it would be best if you're willing to stay out of the rooms with higher player counts (four to six would probably be a good limit) . Either way, t...

I think that's standard in most games. No it's not. The number of completely cross-region compatible online PS2 games is small. Click here. However, we can assume that Subsistence will be cross-region as it's being released by Konami, who also produced the multi-region Steel Lancer Arena Internatio...

I'd appreciate if you didn't support piracy either, Missing (Please check the board rules). And If he wants to get an original copy, that's alright with him. What difference does it make if I support pirated games? I'm not suggesting anyone else should pirate them -- though I did suggest that the g...

Wanted to Buy: Policenauts PC9821/Snatcher PC-8801

Potentially. I understand that these items are quite difficult to come by, and it may be a little while until I can muster up the money (as I have none at all at present). I'm not sure if Jonathan Ingram is still around, and he's the only one I've seen that's been selling a PC9821 Policenauts. I'm n...

I think simply speaking, there are artistic qualities in every video game in existence, no matter how fundamentally simple they may be. Even Centipede has some artwork on the cabinet, if nothing else. In that respect, they contain art forms (of sorts), but the sum of the products is limited in it's ...

It depends on what the criticisms are. If someone is complaining about the storylines being overdrawn and silly, I would have to agree. I do like the way Kojima uses a Hollywood spy-formula or film noir to construct his stories, but I think he takes the drama too far in most cases. I despise the ro...
