While I am interested in the latter, in this case I’m talking about video and audio. Were having issues editing the video container format for PSX (Required to change the FMV’s subtitles).
In any case, if you are not from the crew, please... “Take me to your leader”.

Re: Help for Policenauts PS1 Italian Fan Translation
Good evening, This is IlDucci from the Saturn project. Our current toolset works on both PSX and Saturn, but somebody else by the nickname Scorpion2k7 contacted me as well for an italian version. Is he from your crew? The current tools are still not finished for any non-English translation and I nee...

Foreign translations and patch status. Help required.
Good evening everyone. Sorry I haven't updated the posts around here after the forum's backup, I've been having one hell of a year. There's been a few developments over the last months. I've been contacted by two outside parties regarding an attempt on a Russian translation for Policenauts, but I re...

Re: Policenauts Sega Saturn Translation
Well, the translation is still being worked on, the only major update I can mention is that we've started making the links from the ingame texts to the Glossary, links needed for the "Recent topics" list.

We're still alive, kicking, and thanks to Marc's reinforcements, currently making a complete list of what was new in the Saturn version in terms of new lines.

Re: Policenauts Sega Saturn Translation
HOPEFULLY Russia does something sensible like this. No guarantees, man. If TPP will be translated by the same whore, the game will be so fucked up. Hate to ruin your parade, but that game's probably already been translated to Russian by the same fellow. Ground Zeroes was translated in Latin America...

Re: Policenauts Sega Saturn Translation
OK, there's good news and bad news. Good news, TechNoir, if you want to do russian, we can talk about using our tools (Artemio's tools and our tools are different). Bad news, well, I wanted to tell this later: Marc just emailed me saying that he's leaving the project because of RL and professional r...

Re: Snatcher for Dreamcast Homebrew
Hi! Good luck on your project, sounds very interesting. Here's a couple of tips (Being a bit biased here): - There's a Spanish translation project on EOL where you can ask for their texts here: http://www.elotrolado.net/hilo_proyecto-snatcher-en-espanol_1790142 - There's one main lacking feature tha...

Policenauts Spanish Translation
Alright, I'm creating a new topic for any discussions on the Spanish version. The team has already done that in the ElOtroLado forums but I think it was a mistake not doing it here. So, the Spanish project is being hosted at Traducciones del Tío Víctor, which is the place where I'm posting most of t...

Re: Policenauts Sega Saturn Translation
That line will be removed in the final version. There was some complaints about it on the EOL forums, and that was just to clarify the name, as the whole Spanish translation keeps using Beyond or Beyond Coast in English.
Also, Marc's additions are already being used on the Spanish translation.

Re: Policenauts Sega Saturn Translation
It slowed down a bit but it's not dead at all. Everyone's doing their parts with the little time they have, and preparing a couple of new surprises from the PSX patch.

Re: Policenauts Sega Saturn Translation
I never said I had intentions on doing an English dub. I just said that, technically (Meaning: Being able to extract and edit the audio files) it's possible. But, as you said, it'd require this: - Marc re-doing the script so it adapts to everyone's mouths and amount of time used in the Japanese vers...

Re: Policenauts Sega Saturn Translation
I still wonder if dubbing is possible. Snatcher had an English dubbed version for the SEGA CD and I recall that Konami was going to localize Policenauts on this exact system, but due to subtitle timing issues... Well, we all know what happened. Dubbing in Saturn is quite doubtful. While we got more...

Re: Policenauts Sega Saturn Translation
Anyone around here could help us with some Photoshop skills? We're going to do a scanlation of both PSX and Saturn manuals (PSX is complete thanks to Takamichi's translation, but it'll need a rewrite), and while I can use the Cloning tool kinda decently, there's stuff that might need a better recons...

Re: Policenauts Sega Saturn Translation
Here's the last update from the Sega Saturn version. The short version would be: 90% of the English contents have been ported to Sega Saturn, and almost all the hacks made in the PSX version have their counterparts on Saturn, all thanks to FacundoARG and SaturnAR. Keep in mind that there's some subs...

Re: Policenauts Sega Saturn Translation
Wow, the first disc was completable? Does that include all of the Saturn's extra dialogue with Marc's new translated text? Is there still any major (known) technical hurdles to over come at this point? As for the first question, Marc should be able to comment this further on but it seems, except th...

Re: Policenauts Sega Saturn Translation
Well, that particular alpha had the movies pretty much fucked up. Besides that, that disc (Disc 1) was playable until the end. (We had to use an original disc to skip the videos).
Current version already fixed the MOVs, and the VOX subs are done 'til Disc 2.

Howdy there again. We showed an alpha of the English patch on RetroMadrid 2013, a retro gaming show that took place the last weekend in Madrid. It's fully working on consoles (The one used for this demonstration was a developer console, but we already checked it in standard consoles)

Well, when I played both, Catherine's FMV were resynched, but a lot of ingame cutscenes didn't matched that well. Almost the same with FF13 (Key scenes and FMV resynched, others not)

Re: Policenauts Sega Saturn Translation
I think it's more of a problem on how games are localised into English. Most of the time, the lipsynch has to be re-done for the English actors, so they just act and the editing goes after that. If you can't edit part of that lipsynch, you have a problem (In this case, I think it's the FMV lipsynch,...
