Re: What does "Shalashaska" mean?
MGS5 actually has an explanation behind the "Shalashaska" name. tl;dr it's a combination between "sharashka" and "shashka", a type of sword.

SD Snatcher... ON PSP?
I'm a bit late, but finally dusted off my PSP this week and did the necessary work to get a few emulators running. Most games run flawlessly and the few that don't are just minor issues. Even got Snatcher running great! (Picodrive won't save tho but I guess that's what savestates are for). Today I d...

One of the posts we lost when the db was changed by our service providers was Marc's reply. He replied that he won't be taking on this project. Just as a reminder, as stated above there is no ongoing project. Your enthusiasm is appreciated but unless there's a renewed interest I don't think it's ha...

Re: JunkerHQ IRC channel
Sorry for 12 year old necroposting here, but... would anyone be up for a JunkerHQ Discord server?~ I feel like it'd be a better way to socialize and discuss the series with you fellas! ...I need more Pnauts and Snatcher friends anyways  I'm in plenty of Discords, what's one more? Plus I...

Secret ending screen?
So someone brought to my attention Slowbeef's LP of Snatcher. During the ending, after the look of the game's cast at the end of the credits, he gets access to a screen showing the JUNKER logo... (Go to 48:24) wmQGRag0M1o&feature=youtu.be&t=48m24s I just tried this. I can't access this scree...

This is something I don't expect to find its way out of the english version. Would other language speakers say something similar to this?TechNoir wrote:The famous "damn fiddle" line is completely changed, now it's "They fooled us like damn children!".

Re: PC-9821 Policenauts Emulation Lip Animations/Sync
Yes, I still have those, but I feel they're not fully complete due to said issues. It would've been best if we had some way of ripping those sprites off of those files instead of just taking pictures the ol' fashion way. Also, this trailer: BzYMGovGtTQ I know one of you guys have seen it. If you gu...

I used to have them on my harddrive but that was on my old PC and didn't save them on a drive. I got them from a topic on these boards but from what I remember the links were probably dead.

Re: Emulators (WT...!!!!!)
higan is an snes emulator that built entirely to be accurate, though you might need scanlines and retro filter to get the look down exactly and its kinda resource intensive. your average emulator however will have an inaccuracy here or there, thus you'll rarely get a 1:1 console experience even if i...

"Hotel Dusk: Room 215" and its sequel "Last Window: The Secret of Cape West" (the latter of which didnt get a US release, but a UK version should work fine) look alright, but I never played it, only watched a livestream or two. Also the Phoenix Wright spinoff series "Miles E...

Re: PC Engine Version Translation
there's a chance that could work but they'd have to engineer those parts to match up with the english dialogue. That and some scenes are simply nonexistent in the Japanese version which, in the case of scenes that use redbook audio, would require editing the tracks to match those scenes (which may n...

Manga is dead
I was trying to refer a friend of mine to the manga which the intro to SegaCD Snatcher + the FMV intros in the 32-bit versions were based on when discussing the latter versions but the page for the manga seems to be down? http://junkerhq.net/Snatcher/Manga/ I had to show it to him on another site......
