Re: Having an issue with the PC-98 version
It works fine in np2, just a pain to set up. I don't know what image you have, but in theory you need to run the game installer, create a bootable floppy, locate the appropriate drivers.. Or, just use this https://mega.co.nz/#!VcYz2YiZ!IeEqdm-dIyhxqDTrC2vVuat8dNKfgC-zy-uAfA1URkI It's a pack of the g...

Re: Snatcher HD remake/port? Why not?
I don't know why people keep ignoring the legal problems with anything like this. Snatcher's IP is still owned entirely by Konami, and you can't pretend like it is abandonware, they are using it in stuff recently like Sdatcher and the Jamais Vu MGSV:GZ DLC. If you want any remake or sequel it will n...

Dear all, It took much more time than we anticipated, but Project Melancholia, the new SD Snatcher English translation patch, is almost ready for release! In preparation of the release, we offer you, who preo...

Good luck, and if you do find any skips or glitches, please post them, it would be fascinating to see.
Also, I subscribed to your YouTube account, looking forward to seeing where you get to.

Re: Snatchers in MGS Ground Zeroes!
Yeah, this is awesome. Nice touches too, like the music being a remix of Creeping Silence, and the mention of the source of the Snatchers being a crashed Soviet plane(given their Russian origins). I could take or leave Raiden, but the Snatcher element is so cool.

Re: Speedrun
That is an interesting idea, I've thought about it before. The key I suspect would be describing the absolute minimum amount of actions needed to proceed to the next cutscene of the game. There are a bunch of parts where you need to do the classic "talk to everyone and look at everything twice&...

You seem kind of unstable and to be honest I am afraid to continue talking with you, even though I would like to and I feel you completely misinterpreted my post. So I'm shutting up.

Re: Bigotry and Transphobia in Policenauts
because this should be obviously bigoted and transphobic to anyone who sees it ... Calling a transsexual a transvestite is a form of hate speech I don't think this was the prevailing attitude at all in 1993/4 Japan when the line was written and experienced by the initial audience. Much as I respect...
Re: ZOE HD?
Yeah, I picked up the collection last weekend and platinum'd ZOE2. The patch is great, really smooth and seems to have better framerate than I remember the original game having in parts. Really fantastic job that does justice to an incredible game. With the 'patch'(really it's an entire rewrite of t...

Re: SD Snatcher Buyers-Help
Well assuming you're not in Japan you'll have to use a proxy service to buy anything from Yahoo Auctions, and that will significantly increase the price. In my experience using Rinkya when you take into account shipping and commissioning, you end up paying about 140% of the auction end price, more o...

Re: SD Snatcher Buyers-Help
I recently got a copy, so hopefully this is the complete contents: http://imgur.com/nIejuHL. As Artemio points out, you need a 4th disk to save the game, it seems whoever originally owned this game applied the sticker to it and sold it with the rest of the game(it's not Konami branded as you can see...

Re: Policenauts PC-98 Differences
The scene takes place during the part in Act 2 where it is night time and you are looking for a TGear-99. If instead of going to BCH/Tokugawa you go to Ed's home, you trigger the scene. There's also this page in a strategy guide for the Saturn version. I don't know what it says but I can only think ...

Re: Policenauts PC-98 Differences
If I'm not mistaken, the Saturn version adds a new character, a receptionist at AMM whom you can also 'bounce' in addition to all the other instances, so if anything it's less censored. I think Slowbeef also mentioned that you can bounce the lady running the bag shop in the Saturn version, which aga...

Re: Policenauts PC-98 Differences
Visually, the only overt things I can think of is the depiction of biomorts on the lunar base, in the PC-98 version they were naked floating bodies with definite features and curves. I'm not sure if you'd call that imposed censorship or a choice made for artistic reasons. PC-98 screens here : http:/...

Re: PC-9821 Policenauts Emulation Lip Animations/Sync
Hi, I'm actually the original uploader of that video. I've kind of taken an interest in the PC-98 scene recently. The emulator scene is definitely weaker than for other systems, but I think what's important to remember is that it's not like emulating a console, it's just a mostly normal PC running m...

Thanks, I was afraid of that alright! I'll just wait it out, I've been checking a few sites daily and will keep on doing so. eBay can be useful sometimes, there was a copy of SD Snatcher up yesterday.

Looking for Policenauts PC-9821
Looking for a complete(CD, system disk, manual and box in good condition) copy of Policenauts for the PC-9821 to complete my collection. I already have the PS1, 3DO and Saturn versions. Does anyone have one to sell or know of anywhere I can get one? I have been looking on Yahoo Auctions Japan and eB...
