Well Japan is more interested in original crafted RPG's. XBOX did fail big time in Japan because it's prime capita gaming majority is made up of first person shooters and sports games (which Japan has no real major interest in compared to North American Markets). Which is pretty much I seldom play ...

Substance like Intergral contained english voiceovers with Japanese subtitles so you're better off importing Sons of Liberty for the Japanese voiceovers.

Not really. You either hear Raiden's 'gay', too many cutscenes, and confusing (on purpose BTW) story.

It is indeed a classic in my opinion. I've seen one overated game get too much praise it's Halo2, and that's getting more hear than SOL now I think.

Yeah, this was confirmed on the latest Hidechan (I just checked it). Sokolov's gonna be in it, too, apparently. And so is Masaharu Sato (Salvatore, DARPA Chief, Ames), as the CIA Director. Damn, I really gotta start listening to these again. I stopped a couple of months ago. Yeah. I've remembered H...

Okay, so with all the topics devoted towards Kojima's games on these boards, why do I see very few critical ones from any of you? Of course you all band together to bash Twin Snakes when someone brings it up (though I'm not saying you're wrong for having that shared opinion), but your viewpoints of...

I don't think so not yet. Games are still at the infantile age. First and foremost they need to entertain. A game can have a cliche filled or no story and all and still fufill its purpose. It just really needs time to evolve really, and games have a different narrative structure than other mediums m...

Re: Neon Genesis Evangelon endings.

I've recently rewatched the series last week and I have say I am not sure which ending I liked best. The series endings or the movie endings. Both have their pros and cons being that Shinji breaks from his self-hatred in the TV series but doesn't really answer any of the plot based questions. Meanwh...

I played through it twice when it came out, once for each ending. I tried to play it again a few days ago after this topic appeared, then I got to a certain point and I once again remembered why I don't play it (that's what always happens). It was at the Tank Hangar, I was spotted, and the backup t...

FF7 is Steampunk. Wiki'd Steampunk is a subgenre of speculative fiction which came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. It concerns works set in the past, or a world resembling the past, in which modern technological paradigms occurred earlier in history, but were accomplished via the scien...

Any other Cyberpunk games anyone like?

I liked Deus Ex a lot. It had a lot of freedom, and pretty much drew inspiration from Gibson, Phillip K. Dick, and newer visions of the fture namely Ghost in the Shell. The main theme is what stick to my head. Too bad Ion Storm is dead, and I didn't think the sequel was as bad as people said it was.

Sounds like Squenix was doing with FF7, but I am sure it'd be better done then what Dirge was rated as.
