Re: Report issues here

Hey, I'm having a shitload of issues with running this game. I get through the entire opening movie scenes and when it goes to gameplay it's a black screen and all I can see is the cursor. I downloaded pre-patched ISOs from http://www.hongfire.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116112 . I'm running epsxe 1....

Re: What was your first MG Game?

I first played Metal Gear Solid on the Pizza Hut demo, then when I got a PSX, it was included on the demo disc. When it first came out I bought it and ever since I've been a die-hard fan. I've bought every game with Metal Gear in the title.

Re: MGO - MEME and SCENE Expansions

You can look at it that way if you want. But I look at it like this: We play for free. No 20 dollar monthly charges. We have the CHOICE to pay for 15 dollar expansions when they're released which enhance the game in many ways, or we're given the choice NOT to pay for the expansions thus keeping the ...

Re: MGO - MEME and SCENE Expansions

I agree. I believe Kojima even admitted to that whole situation being a bad idea from the get go. But in any case, there's nothing we can do about it so we have to deal. Still, MGO is a free service and they must need some kind of cash to keep the servers up.. and the bright side is, it's not like w...

What? Yes, he was. If you're about to make a reference to Null, then stop.. because Null and Jaeger are the same person.

Re: MGO - MEME and SCENE Expansions

The shadows you can see on that page are of Meryl, Johnny, Liquid Ocelot, Mei Ling, and Raiden. Jonathon and Big Mama aren't present there. But that doesn't mean that those characters won't be playable in the not too distant future.

MGO - MEME and SCENE Expansions

For those of us who still play MGO. We have two new expansion packs "just around the corner". The first one has some details, while the second has yet to be unveiled. MEME Expansion Three New Maps -A snow map. Could be anything.. I'm hoping it's the Snowfield, but according to my sources i...

Now you're getting a little cynical lol... You have to admit, not everything sucks. We do have some classics cropping up around here, especially inspired by the kind of technology available today (I'm thinking of Nintendo's integration of the sense of touch specifically, which is insane). It's only...

The game industry these days isn't what it was back than as far as games is concerned. They keep playing on old titles. Anything that has made it's debut recently basically sucks. Or it's a movie-turned-game, or an old game refurbished. Nobody is original anymore, or so it seems.

Soundtrack?

Aside from The Black Disc, was a Snatcher soundtrack ever released? And if so, anybody know where I can find it? Or at least download the tracks?

I think text-based adventures were deeper than video games today. This might just be cultural climate-change. Text-based games like Snatcher WERE a lot deeper than a lot of games today. Nobody cares about making a masterpiece anymore.. they just wanna make mediocre games that hopefully sell well, s...

Well, think about it.. Video games weren't nearly as in-depth as they are now simply because they couldn't be. How can you make an extremely in-depth storyline with an 8-bit system? The original Metal Gear really wasn't deep, Snake barely had any dialog. It wasn't until MG2: Solid Snake that the off...

I'm still glad that shit wasn't canon. At the time of it's release, yeah I doubt many people knew about MG2: Solid Snake, making Snake's Revenge the sequel to Metal Gear for the majority of North American gamers. But still, now that everyone knows of Metal Gear's true sequel, SR's storyline, gamepla...
