Just saw it, and I loved it. Cult classic. I think the point is the fact that you're stuck in a small area for several hours with (almost) no counter-measures. I wonder if anyone would ever try a real-life copycat... It's why I always travel with a stun gun and a bag of anti-venom. I'm sick and tir...

Has anyone on this site at all had problems like these? Try here: http://mac-psx.hansr.net/ See, if this were windows, I'd say that one of your GPU plugins was either horribly out of date (or programmed) or that it was really hating your video card. On the site I linked above, I noticed they had Co...

Re: Policenauts PCSX?
Does anyone know if Policenauts works with this emulator? It seems to read the disc, but the screen is blank. It does this with Metal Gear Solid, too. Is there some BIOs files I should replace? Or have I burnt the game files to a disc wrongly? Thanks for your time - Junker 05 It works great with th...

How much longer is the voice-track for the PC-9821 version? No one is going to go out of their way for you until you present physical evidence that you can accomplish the goals that you have set out. I'm just asking how many extra minutes of speech are in the PC-9821 version. It's not that easy to ...

Re: English voices?
If there was a dubbed version of the game under an official localization, who would you like to see do the voices? I believe it was Johnny Undaunted who first pointed out to me that Steven Blum (Spike in Cowboy Bebop) would make a good Jonathan. I think Greg Eagles (MGS1 and 2) would also make a go...

I'm not an expert in this matter, but is it possibe in theory, even in the Saturn version, to patch and re-burn the game in order to work on a real system? Yes, but you'd need to defeat the copy protection schemes around that, that is chip the console or a similar solution. That's why emulation wou...

Just for the record, I hated the Director's Cut version of BR. I loved the original though. You, sir, are a fool! The 'original' was a prostituted version of the true original, director's intended, version. The 'warm' ending was bolted on and made zero sense when you know about who Deckard really w...

Try http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/ . Good luck - in addition to it showing up only once or twice a year, it usually goes for around $150 (which is pretty decent considering its rarity, as it originally sold for around $130 MSRP when it was released back in 1994). rinkya.com will place proxy bids f...

But nevertheless, you started this topic with the intent of continuing this foolish debate with ratperson, did you not? You're the one at fault for trying to provoke him (or perhaps just to mock him, which is worse), and I would call that beating a dead horse, since the discussion he originally sta...

I resent your comment of people who are illiterate. Unfortnately, with the school systems trying to handle so many kids nowadays all at once, many tend to slip through the cracks and often go unnoticed by their teachers. Don't mock those who are illiterate as being merely lazy or stupid. Learning t...

A lot of characters in the game are American. In Japan they had to speak Japanese because of the target audience. But in the USA listening to two guys from LA speak Japanese would just seem weird. So I think that that was a good reason to cann the translation. That's about the dumbest reason to can...

Your not getting my point! If you put fourth-wall breaking in a graphic novel or a movie it would ruin the whole thing. But you just sit back and accept it in video games. Why is that? Except for one slight difference: Video games are interactive entertainment. If movies and graphic novels reacted ...

Re: What character inspierd Jonathan?
ratperson665 wrote:It's clear to me that Deckard from Blade Runner inspired Gillian. But who do you suppose inspired Jonathan?
Jonathan was inspired by Sgt Martin Riggs from "Lethal Weapon". Ed Brown is inspired by Sgt Roger Murtaugh from the same movie.
