Binary Domain - Influenced by Snatcher?

I've been watching this game for quite a while now, and it more and more reminds me about Snatcher. Even more so due to some recent pieces of video.

Would i have seen the screenshot of the guy ripping the flesh from his face before having been aware of the game already, i would have swornd that it would be a screenshot of a sequel/remake/prequel to Snatcher.
I just hope you don't just fight normal robots, but also those Snatcher-like beings with human flesh, maybe even with a fitting damage model where you can actually remove certain parts of the flesh and showing off the metal parts beneath. I've been looking for a shooter doing this kind of stuff since ages. Vivisector came close and i always hoped there'd be a Terminator franchise based game or something doing this.
The announced strong emphasis on story also doesn't hurt either. Well, i'm excited for this game and was wondering if anybody of you guys also noticed the similarities to Snatcher. Seems almost too far-fetched for being just a coincidence...
