Any Snatcher references in MGSV?

Post by nickdaring »

MGS4 had a ton of cool Snatcher stuff for old school fans to enjoy. Do you think we'll get more in the new game?

In MGSV, Big Boss will make use of the MetalGear Mk1, as seen (but not used, since it's was just an easter egg) in Peace Walker.
You will get a random recruit codenamed Hajile. He turns out to be a spy named Tony Redwood.
Diamond Dogs gets confidentially funded by a subsidiary Tokugawa Industries, a small company called JUNKER.
Big Boss in MGSV will be voiced by Jeff Lupetin.

Big Boss appears to have a robotic arm, and I'm pretty sure Petrovich Modnar is that doctor in the MGSV trailers?

I just love how Kojima is F'n with us...

BTW: anyone seen this yet?

Very unlikely. He looks more like Kio Marv, but Kio never was a doctor, as far as I know.

I doubt there were any Snatcher references, but...

If what they say is true, then the interview would have likely been a Policenauts reference, where there was a CGI version of Karen Hojo on the television, yet it looked so real that you can hardly tell the difference.

I figured this out after the first trailer and forgot to spost it here although it's not specifically Snatcher related I thought it was pretty cool-

Just figured this out-

Big Boss's Map Projector from the Ground Zeroes trailer uses the MSX System font!Image

Cool nod to the series' beginnings!
