Ha. I knew it! So, the possibilty of a new Kojima adventure game may not be totally off after all. Nice trivia about Snatcher.

It's always nice to hear Kojima even mention Snatcher, because sometimes it seems like he totally forgot about it. But I guess when you put so much focus on MGS and other games, that's to be expected.

They really shouldn't joke about collaborating like that. Seeing Suda 51 and Kojima collaborating on Snatcher 2 for the Revolution is probably my dream concept for a game at the moment. I hate them both for coming so close to doing it.

When Kojima and Suda 51 are working on a game together, it's important it's an adventure game.

It seems that a page on the Japanese Konami website has details of the whole Kojima/Suda51 meeting! Unfortunately, none of it is English-

Interesting, they both named Out of this World as one of their top 5 games.

Out of this world was a highly cinematic game... with very varied situations. I loved it at it's time, and Flashback as well.

I believe that is the reason it was so influential, it made the cinematics with the game engine and switched bewteen them a lot of times.

I was a big fan of Flashback (and I guess I still am), I really liked the puzzle solving gameplay and its story telling. Events like being imprisoned and having to find your gun was great, too. Out Of This World had simular gameplay, but was a bit more trial-and-error based, and I didn't like that as much. It great to see the Human and the Alien forming a friendship throughout the game, though. It was kind of like the original ICO.

Ah man,to think I was about to post about the same exact topic.
A collabo between Kojima & Suda51 would be my dream adventure game as well.
It would be interesting to see how the story would turn out between both of their creative minds.

After playing through several Suda51 games within the last year.
(I imported "Flower,Sun,& Rain","Michigan") I've come to the realization that his style
is a bit of a hybrid between Atlus R&D 1 team (The creators of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise.) & the direction style of Takshi Miike.
(Every single one of Suda51's games have weird imagery & symbolism.)
He certainly has the skill & talent to work with a living legend such as Hideo Kojima.
They both have a tendecy to put in a lot of detail within their plots.
(Though you have to be able to interpret what they're actually saying with each event .)

It's nice to see that they've actually played Out of this world. I must've rented that game who knows how many times. Back in the day I use to think the graphics for Out of this world were phenomonal.
(I guess it's because the game had such fluid animation at the time it was released.)
BTW has anybody ever played the Out of this world sequel for Sega cd?

I have it. I got it off ebay a few years ago for a few bucks. I haven't played all of it, but it's quite good. Harder, too.

To be honest, I didn't think that was possible.

Me either! Heart of the Alien includes the original game as well. It's definitely worth picking up.

Would you believe they've ported (or are porting) Out of This World to cell phones? Cell phones are too fragile to endure the beatings I would give one while playing Out of This World…

Was the sequel Flashback? Both of those games rocked!

Flashback had a 3D sequel called Fade to Black (contrary to belief, Out Of This World and Flashback are completely unconnected). It wasn't anywhere near as good as the original, though. Delfine were making a direct 2D sequel for the GBA, but unfortunately they went bankrupt.

Not a sequel, but another game by the same cerators and similar mechanics, but improved polygons for cinemas.

The sequel was Heart of the Alien.

Yeah, that was it. I was never one for them because they were just too damn difficult and not enjoyable enough to make up for that fact, in my opinion. Well, Out of This World anyway, I haven't yet played Flashback.

I simply loved them.. from the first time I played OOTW in a PC, and Flashback in an amiga, to all the hours I spent in my Genesis. (And sometimes this days on my PSP)

I just like to enjoy a game…I don't like to get punished with death every time I make a tiny mistake.
