Not too sad, I never really knew the guy

Nah, but I don't feel any different, he was practically dead when the US soldiers found him, I mean it was obvious he was going to be sentenced to death, IMO.

The guy was truly a monster.

I feel that there's likely a hundred other people as dangerous as Saddam, who are still alive and in power.
It just made political sense to make a big show of Saddam Hussein.

Without a doubt, yes. He deserved what he got; media coverage and disgrace. Great way for a monster like him to go.

Yeah, he was really a monster!!1~~
I mean, don't we all feel better now that he is dead? I MEAN COME ON! NOW PIGS WILL BE ABLE TO FLY AND ALL!
It's really amazing how much his death has changed. There will be no apocalypse now, I bet.

Sorry if this is being too sarcastic, but hey, that's how I feel.

One less monster in the world, regardless of the fact that nothing much has changed in Iraq itself.

Well, he was attacked by a coalition which had false (la li lu le lo) evidence of WMDs. The war destroyed a country and made thousand victims.

By chance, they managed to catch him in his hideout - a trial was set up, of course in the hands of the new, democratic Iraq regime (la li lu le lo).
During the trial, he had 3 of his defence lawyers assassinated (la li lu le lo):

http://web.amnesty.org/pages/irq-061106-news-eng

Amnesty International (AI) has been monitoring the trial and finds that political interference undermined the independence and impartiality of the court, prompting the first presiding judge to resign and blocking the appointment of another. The court failed to take adequate measures to ensure the protection of witnesses and *defence lawyers, three of whom were assassinated during the course of the trial.*

He of course had some instance to defend himself in court, but for the rest of time, he was a prisoner so he couldn't release interviews and saying what he undoubtely had to say about his enemies (la li lu le lo).

He then was very quickly executed, by coincindence during the Islamic ritual of Sacrifice (la li lu le lo). All his dirty secrets die with him - even harmless, a dead man cannot talk.

So, what do I think about all this? Well, I truly admire how our democracies strive for "creating context" (la li lu le lo).

One of our beloved monsters is dead - I guess the world could be a safer place, if everything didn't feel just like a ruse.

EDIT: Hugo Chavez has declared he will devote his life to the construction of Venzuelan Socialism. I bet he's one of the monsters to take down next. (la li lu le lo)
