I've always found the following two methods the easiest (though they are the same with different tools):
1) Use windows IME pad to write the kanji. Then select it from the list
2) Use the Nintendo DS with the English-Japanese software to do the same.
The second is very practical, but you need extra hardware and software. For the first one you only need to install Asian language support and add the Japanese keyboard to the list of your active languages.

Choose from the list - Japanese to English. I think it converts Kanji, not too sure.

Thanks, but that didn't help. The name I'm looking for is a japanese name. I know how it's written in english, but I'm looking for text of how it's written in kanji. Like for example, I'm not looking to find a literal translation of a japanese word.Henry Spencer wrote:http://babelfish.altavista.com/

Unless you know Japanese, it would be very difficult. What is the name you are looking for?
