My screename comes from, of course, the name of the Hideo Kojima game Snatcher, and the year it was first released in (1988).

From Vagrant Story semi-antagonist, Sydney Losstarot...

Also, I've noticed that Asmodai, one of King Solomon's familliars (generally speaking), shares a similar name...

Solidé is just "Solid" but in French. The little é after Solid looks really cool doesn't it? :D
Oh and Solid comes from "Solid Snake" of course. ;)

To cut a long story short, I was born in 1987 and it's the year MetalGear was released. "87th" sounds better than attaching "87" to the end of some worn-out username.

Mine comes from the manga character Shinichi Kudo, who was named Jimmy Kudo for the english version. It just sorta popped into my head one day, when I couldn't figure out what the heck I should name a character on a game. Jimmy Kudo is already taken everywhere, obviously. So I went ahead and just used JimboKudo. That was a long time ago, and I guess it just stuck with me.

Four and a half years ago I started my online gaming career on SOCOM Fireteam Bravo on the PSP. My screen name was ak47.net.usa. I know catchy right? I was in a clan called RED-7. Long story short, that clan broke up and I became a leader of my own clan, the same clan I lead today, three years later. When I became a clan leader I needed a name with more authority. I created this name, Commander_AK-47. I'm a bit famous in the online community if I do say so myself, which is why I haven't changed my name to kadizzle, which is my overall forum name.

Got it from David Lynch's Eraserhead; main character's name. I decided to use it for my username, as I am a big film buff. I use this username practically everywhere now.

Xenomorph was the word they used for the aliens in AvP games. I like the sound of that word.

Welp a couple of years ago me and some of my former friends were obsessed with retarded internet memes and the gross stuff you can find on the internet. We found Motherman.com, and it kind of became a huge inside joke with all of us. Anyways, one day I had detention with the art teacher and my buddies actually stayed in the room with me, so I started to draw one of them, my friend Chris but I gave him a flag that was going to say 'motherman' on it, but I forgot the 'h' so it said motorman. The picture ended up looking nothing like him so we named the guy Dick Motorman, he was supposed to be this badass manly man, we had this whole back story for him, and i would always draw him doing ridiculous things, like delivering a baby with one hand, and solving a rubiks cube with the other. Basically one inside joke became another. I needed a good screen name that I have never heard before, so I just started using Dick Motorman.

My name "Ash" comes from the Evil Dead Films (had the nick since 1993 on old BBS's).
And the "el" part came from my freshman year of highschool....spanish class.

When I set up my first e-mail account..."Ash" was taken, so I made "el_ash".
Been that for about 10 years now! (also use Ash12 about everywhere they let me).

Not really any funny or interesting background stories about my user name I'm afraid :(

I needed a callsign when I installed Wing Commander Prophecy for the first time, well Ghost sounded neat so I went with that.

Years ago, I always took so long to think of a User-name for anything. One time in 2005 I believe, Me and my friend were playing an online game of some sort and I was sitting there at the computer for 52 minutes trying to think of a name I liked. Finally he got pissed at me and said "Just think of a God-damned name, Asshole!" so I typed in the first name I could think of. it was "Squatter", a name I gave my Friend's little brother after he bent over so my friend could give him a tattoo of a tear drop on his ass. Instead of a tattoo, my friend stuck the permanent marker he was going to use cap-first straight up his hala-halaaa. He then had to "SQUAT" over the toilet to crap it out. No, seriously. For reals.

I changed it to "skwatter", because it sounded more phonetically logical in my mind, and I have used this User-name for all my online accounts ever since.

Have a good one!

[Appologies if I have scarred you with the above paragraph. ]

Snatcher. This character hit me as soon as he appeared in the story. He's one of my favourite characters up to this day.

Midori is green in Japanese my favorite color. Fox for foxhound code name Fox which is the highest code name there is.

I pretty much copied Grey Fox but replaced Grey with Green and turned Green to Japanese cause it just sounds cooler and I love Japanese. Its what I like to image my codename if I were in Foxhound... lol :P

It comes from Xenogears, which is by far one of my favorite rpgs of all time. "Project Noah" was the originally intended name of Xenogears, before they changed it later in production for unknown reasons. It was also the name of Krelian's plan to revive Merkava.

About 4-5 years ago I put my name into a Metal Gear Solid name generator. "Iron Flamingo" was the result. Shame the thing went offline. :(
