I saw this band by chance back in high school, loved them then, and have recently gotten back into their music.
I've seen this band preform a few times, and I want to just share them with a few other people.
Hopefully someone else will get as much enjoyment out of this music as I do.
Their style is quite laid back and subdued. Their music is excellent for studying/reading/relaxing. This is also only coming from my personal experience, but I find their music to be very loving. I find the music to be extremely intimate, and it has hardly been a chore to become emotionally attached to it.
It's a purely instrumental, so there are no vocals.

Last.fm has some of the songs from their most recent album [Casually Smashed to Pieces] that you can listen to.
NPR ran an interview with them a few years ago if anyone is interested.

The background music during the interview is from their album Everywhere and Right Here
Anyways
Enjoy

Re: The Six Parts Seven
hey man, thanks for the recommendation. I liked their music, I'll buy some of their albums on my next Amazon order. I'd recommend Kaki King in return, since it shares some of the qualities. I don't recommend the last album though (Dreaming of Revenge), it departed from all the things she did before. I particularly liked the "...Until we felt Red" album (all tracks but the single with the same name =P). It is a bit more experimental, but it is also very enjoyable. And for a bit more energy but more towards acoustic guitars, I recommend Rodrigo y Gabriela, they are a Mexican duo.
