Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? The Comic

Post by JimboKudo »

I'm sure some of you have heard of this, but there's a comic version of Dick's novel that's almost already half finished (the first two collected volume sets are out). I started reading it, and it's basically like reading the novel with really well drawn and inked pictures throughout. Apparently, it's a telling of the story in comic form with the complete text from the book (descriptions, dialogue and all). Definitely worth checking out, if you haven't already. It looks like it could be a great way to re-experience Dick's original novel.

Sorry if this is old news, I don't know if anyone has posted about this before.

Yup, read the first issue and enjoyed it a lot! Its dialogue is taken word-for-word outta the book, which is always a plus. Artwise, it was... ok. Your regular Blade runner-type dystopia.

What did you guys think?
And then the long pulse of Zion Dub...

Perhaps I'll try reading this after I read the original book.

Well I am going to say this. I love comic books, but seriously alot of the people in the art business are biased to comic books from the east, and some shallow "uppity" people will even seperate comic books from graphic novels, and call comic books crap. After going to art school ( In NYC ) that is going to affect my purchasing power from now on. From a writters perspective and inspirators perspective, great inspiration, but from an artist viewpoint, why now? wasn't their a comic series already released of this?

and finally, avoid small bodied Russia girls with loud verbal abusive mouths.
