I came across this story today of an experiment designed to study the psychological effects of space travel. Policenauts talks about this as well. In the game, many astronauts have resorted to illegal drugs to relieve the psychological pressures of space travel.

Careful with the spoilers, dude, jeez. Anyway, this is still interesting, nonetheless. I do tend to think Kojima hates space travel or something; especially due to what happens in Policenauts and MGS3 (The Fury, anyone?) he always seem to create characters who have travelled from space, in a negative light.

Maybe Kojima does, but I don't think it counts as a spoiler. That's kind of like saying "In metal gear, some of the soldiers smoke." I don't think it'll have much to do with the plot, necessarily. Maybe some do take drugs, but there is no real explanation as to the motivation, except for trauma.
Life and Death hang in perfect balance...I'm only here to tip the scales.
