Question about the voice acting

Talk about Kojima's hard sci-fi masterpiece.

The rest was devoted to sound, and even after that they still had half the disc left. When it came time to port it, they realized it could never fit with all the added cut-scenes, plus I think Kojima realized he rambled on in parts (which is totally unlike him, I must say).
Totally unlike him to ramble, or totally unlike him to realize it....?
A sarcastic "yes" for the former, a serious "yes" for the latter. :)

In all honesty, though, I don't think he rambles in Policenauts. I think he could have kept all the original dialogue and text (provided he had unlimited space) and it still would've been fine. The details of its world and character interactions are all so interesting and entertaining that at no point did I feel frustrated. I'll be interested to see what you guys think.

Charlie Johnson wrote:Sure.

Unfortunatly I don't have a screen of the PC98 at hand, but anyway, I guess that'll do.

That's Jonathan and Ed in the PSX and 3DO versions.

They both looked different in the PC98 version.

And that's the same scene from the Saturn version.

Ed looks the same as in the other console versions but Jonathan looks the same as he did in the PC98 version.

Ahahaha! It took a while but finally here's the proof.

Okay, his mouth is a little bit different, but otherwise Jonathan looks almost identical in the Saturn and PC98 version.

Awesome :) How many people catch themselves holding a phone reciever like that, because after my first sight of it, I began to notice that I do it too. Maybe it's just the pic's effect on my subconcious, I dunno...

Looks to me like Jonathan is covering the section meant for speaking into. Advanced tech of the future, eh?

It shows J's personality (compare how Ed holds it).

Ed seems to be a bit more proper, maybe more gentle? Haha, I dunno...
