If I were you, I'd go for PSX.

 Re: Policenauts Social Thread
unfortunately PSX isn't an option for me, since I don't have a PSX and my PS2 isn't modded, but I do have a USB to Saturn and PS2 controller adapter for my computer. Right now I'm leaning towards the saturn controller, unless there is any need for the analog sticks. Is there?

 Re: Policenauts Social Thread
I'm on a mac, and unless im remembering wrong, only ePSXe has mouse support, so I would have to either run boot camp or a virtual machine to use a mouse.
Edit: after reading the readme, I might just have to go with the recommended set up I guess... Virtual Machine it is I suppose.

 Re: Policenauts Social Thread
Congratulations to the whole Policenauts Translation Project team and thank you so much ! Now, I hope that (when I'll find the time to play the patched game) I won't go batshit insane trying to make it run on an emulator.

 Re: Policenauts Social Thread
After hearing the patch has been released, I listened to all the songs on my harddrive that was released in 1994... which were unfortunately Dreams by Gabrielle and Shine by Collective Soul. :\

 Re: Policenauts Social Thread
Congratulations to everyone involved in the project, I didn't expect that the translation would make it this year actually.
By the way, is there any chance that we can get videos from the game with an audio commentary from the people behind the development process? I'd love to hear comments regarding the overall project, and certain scenes.

I just ordered my copy of Policenauts early today and right after I ordered it I went to policenauts.net and the translation patch was out and I freaked out

 Re: Policenauts Social Thread
Can't believe the day has finally come. I'm surely not the only one who's been waiting for this since reading about Policenauts in GameFan so many years ago, after having caught the bug from Snatcher. I'll never be able to fully express my gratitude for what everyone involved with this project has accomplished. Thank you so much for devoting all those countless hours of your lives to allow all of us fans the chance to experience this. Today, I feel like a kid again.

Slowbeef, (or marc and artemio if you know something), approximately when are you going to release that guide of how you hacked the game? And where are you going to put it? Here on the forums?
BTW the game/patch is great. on more drop on the sea of thankfulness and kiss ass but honestly.

Here on the forums? Slowbeef has already posted the first two parts of the guide you're talking about. It can be found under the 'Notes' section of Policenauts.net, but I will link them here anyway: I must thank you, slowbeef, for producing this guide. It has been a really interesting read so far in terms of the programming concepts brought up, and it makes me appreciate even more the hard work you guys have put into wrestling with this game. How many more parts do you reckon the guide will span? I look forward to reading future parts. Oh, and I beat Policenauts two days ago. I was determined to take the game as slow as possible in order to savour the experience, but by the time I got to Act 5, I just had to finish the game. To say I thoroughly enjoyed the game would be an understatement, and it was undoubtedly worth the wait. A huge thanks again to everyone involved in making the English translation a reality. Now I've got a huge urge to replay Snatcher!

If you actually click on Meryl's boobs and ask about them once you meet her and Dave, it prevents you from seeing a cool cutscene with her showing off her marksmanship in the Shooting Range... If anything I wanna see her turn some targets into Swiss cheese. those chestbeefers are daves anyways meryl probably shoves him in that glorious cleavage all the time
