The MOVs have everything mixed, so a reconstruction or heavy editings on the soundtrack is needed.
Oh, really? Huh...

I could have sword it was different. Strange, because the BGM archive has music that only appears in the demo sequences like "End of the Dark," which isn't used anywhere else, unless it's on the CD Collection, which I don't remember seeing. The game houses practically every track clean -- i.e. just music, as well as some music mixed with ambience, albeit for gampley. Why would they include extra tracks like this if they are to go unused because where it's actually used is in a large audio mix?
I just opened the audios I just commented out, those ones have small pieces of music. Others, in the other hand, will probably be music-free because they take the soundtrack found on the BGM files.

Just an example, to avoid any confusions:

02:19 - MOV (Movie file), all the music, sfx and voices are in one same file. That happens with almost all of them.
08:14 - That's a file from VOX. The original sample has only voices, while the ambient noise is elsewhere.
08:45 - That's a file from VOX, but the music is also merged in this particular voiceover.
24:13 - That's a file from VOX. The line "It's open!" is with nothing in the background, but the door opening noises and steps are in the file.
24:26 - That's a file from VOX. The music's not merged with the voiceovers.

Ahh, I see. Further explanation is unnecessary. I kind of assumed that's how it would handle it.
As for the FMV Demos, I can see why. When the footage is prerecorded, large audio mixes such as that need to be created in order to create synchronization.
During gameplay, everything has a specific cue, so it doesn't require complex mixes.
