Re: Feature requests for future versions
You know what I would request for the future patch? That it comes out. Maybe the same day as the final act of SDATCHER?

Re: Feature requests for future versions
Okay, I have a valid request this time... In the original version there was a text crawl if you waited on the menu that was removed due to spoilers or something. Any chance you can restore this? Maybe make it come up after the game is beat?

Re: Feature requests for future versions
I'm re-playing the game right now, and here's what I noticed :
- In Hojo's house (Act 1), when asking Lorraine about her bracelets, there's a repetition of "don't" in one of the answers she gives. "They don't don't act against my hematopoetic stem cells, ..." - At BCCH, in the lobby, when searching for some informations on Hojo, if I click on the old man at the right, Ed says "They look like a patient too." instead of "He looks like a patient too."
That's all, not very noticeable mistakes, but if it can be fixed on some update, that's great.
God I love playing this game again, if only Kojima could forget about Metal Gear and do another investigation game !

Re: Feature requests for future versions
This is a really really late post but I would love to see a translation for the PC-98 version happen. I guess it might be a bit of a burden though if there's more text, but if it ever happened I'd be very happy.

Re: Feature requests for future versions
From what I've heard and seen, the PC version would be harder to translate on account of the game not having alot of subtitles, alot of the dialogue is accompanied by little talking heads like in Snatcher.

Re: Feature requests for future versions
So PS and PC-E versions of Snatcher won't be translateable either. ARRGGGHH!!!11
UPD: Well, at least that's a good reason to finally start learning Japanese.

Shoot. Ah, well, I guess I could stumble through by just clicking on stuff or something, but I wish a translation could happen.

Re: Feature requests for future versions
well it still should be possible to translate the text, you'd just need a small text file with translations of the voiced over scenes. I guess since they can't fully translate it though nobody except the more devout would bother.

Re: Feature requests for future versions
Regarding the Saturn patch, the nice thing is that the team now has full control over the subtitle timing, which wasn't available with the PS version.

This is a tad late, but that's exciting news Marc Really pumped to play the Saturn version!

Yeah, but I think I also heard that there is a subtitle mode in PC-98 version if you beat the game or something. So I thought, if only we could somehow unlock it without beating the game...

Re: Feature requests for future versions
I think the mode your thinking about doesn't do exactly what you thought it did. It doesn't add subtitles to the voices, it removes the voices and makes them text. Which I don't think is the most favorable way to play the game.

Re: Feature requests for future versions
Yeah, the mode is mostly a novelty thing. I would imagine certain people in Japan in 1994 would have liked the idea of playing the game the same way they did with the original Snatcher on the PC-88. Though besides that, it doesn't make to much sense to anybody else...That's probably why it wasn't in later versions.
