finally beat the game (on a psp)
took that long, because i restricted myself to play only on the train to and from work
which meant 1 hour of play per day

but game is just great
a shame konami didn't release an english version
(but i know why: mel gibson, danny glover & gary busey were too expensive as voice actors for the english version :) )
i died a lot
(it took me 3 days for the bomb)
i died twice on the emps outside of factory 7
and once in the staircase

Donezo. Fired up my old PSX from high school, had it hooked up to my HDTV with S-Video cables. Had to turn it on both sides to get it to work, even upside-down...! Died consistently after 30-45 minutes of play every time. I'm so glad I kept it though...who knew I would be playing this game 10 years later!! Many thanks to all of you guys involved, from an old Snatcher and Metal Gear fan.

Finally beat the game today (been busy with other stuff!) took me 11 hours. This has to be the 1st Kojima game where i fully understood the plot! Awesome game, thanks again for the patch! Well worth the wait.

Andres Band G.

Beat the game half hour ago.
Awesome game, Kojima style, and as a fan of Hideo Kojima and all his works, i liked Snatcher more than Policenauts, but every Kojima game its just incredible.

Thanks again to all the people that worked in this project you've make an insignificant human being so happy today.
Thank you very much
see ya.

Just beat the game. One word: Amazing!

I had high hopes and expectations for this game and it was everything I could ask for in character development, story, action, difficulty and music.

Artemio, SlowBeef, and the rest, thank you guys for your hard work. The translation was near perfect (I put a request in the 'Feature Request' thread). The story flow was never broken.

Kojima really needs to do a sequel!

I beat it last night or rather this morning at 2:30
Yeah I know 1 month. lol I played it on
and off on the bus. Yesterday on the bus ride home
I got past the defusing the bomb (two trys) and didn't
want to put it down. Poor Dave ;(

It was funny to read in the credits "Breast Bouncing Supervision"
It kind of made me laugh a little.

I found it a pain to use the mouse for this game. Mainly because I guess the sensitivity for windows needs to be turned down real low so when you play policenauts it doesn't scroll like half way across the screen for 1 cm of mouse movement.
I just couldn't do the shooting with the mouse because of the sensitivity.

Anyone else notice it kind of auto-aims when you press L1 or R1. For that going up tokuwaga building near the end. I kinda just auto aimed everyone.

How come for that bomb difusal part where it talks about some "paggorthy" or some theory about fooling the strings by having them cross diagonally to trick something. I kept cutting either 2 of the ones on the left and kept dying. It was like the translation was clearly explaining to me it was either of those ones and couldn't beat it for some reason. I had to use saved states and click on every string to get it to complete. I was shocked to find out it wasn't those 2. But the one on the right which the text really didn't indicate that was what I was supposed to cut. Anyone else have that problem?
There was the thing in the top right. One wire came out the bottom and ran through a box below it with two wires coming out the bottom. One is the origional line from the top box the other is a dumby. It was on the right side dude.

Spoiler:
When you guys get to the part where you hack into the computer, put in the cd and watch the promotional video. What's ur thoughts? I was very impressed with kojima explaining something like this. What about the thing about harvesting organs and auctioning them off? Now we do have transplants n stuff like that and it can be true in a way.

I beat this around August 29, but school kept me from announcing so, lol.

Great fun, and my sister was a big help with her amazing aim in shooting segments. We did the bomb diffusion together, which was so tense I thought my head was gonna explode. The dialogue after failing it a few times was hilarious.

With that, I sign.

I completed this around the 26th 27th of August (I think?). I died a bunch of times during the bomb sequence (and continued dying to see if there were more funny parts about it.) I played through the entire game with the mouse on a modded PSX. It was glorious. I too didn't understand many of the complaints about shooting, I had no real problems.

Finally finished the game last Saturday. Marc was kind enough to give me the game early, but I had trouble finding the time to actually play it. Now that it's all over, I wished it was a little bit longer. The last couple of Acts just breezes by. Thanks again to Marc, Artemio and Slowbeef for making it possible.

Why is this described as a snatcher sequel or prequel or whatever!?! it has absolutely nothing to do with snatcher at all!

You probably were misinformed. A shame you didn't like it. I would recommend documenting yourself before playing a game next time.

Research about what. The game was never released in the U.S. because it sucked. I bought Snatcher at KB Toys in 1994 for my Sega CD when it came out in U.S. and it's still my favorite game to this day.

About that at least. It is never promoted or referred as a sequel or prequel, only by ignorant sources.

Thanks for sharing your opinions =)

There's a big difference between a spiritual successor and a sequel or a prequel. Whoever described it as either of the latter is mistaken.

Just literally finished the game now. Was definately worth the wait. Awesome stuff! Took just over 10 hours but time well spent.
Spoiler:
Think I died about 5 times and all of them were on the damn bag search/bomb diffusal! Thought the story was really good and Kojima really got you into the twists like Gates being with Takugama. Just like the Metal Gear series the ending really sold the game.

The only thing I found was although its kinda obvious Jonathan is Karen's father the game doesnt really explain it, just kind of leaves it in Karens note at the end (or did I miss something?)
Thanks again to the team for allowing us to play this classic game!
