The Saturn translation is nearing completion, and I remember reading that the next version they plan to do after this would be the PC-98 one, and the 3DO version would be saved for last.

With the many improvements made to PC-98 emulation recently, I can only imagine translating it will be easier than before.

Wait, what? When was this said? lol

A fundamental problem with the PC-98 version is the fact that there are no subtitles. There is a subtitle-only mode, but it removes the talking heads and the voice-overs.

That was what was said on the FAQ of the translation site, when it was first launched.

I remember reading something like that a long time ago, however, that's not the plan anymore.

Also, a separate team is making the Saturn version happen (using Marc's translation). If the PC-98 and 3DO ever happen (I wouldn't bet on it), it will most likely be from a different group as well.

Hmm... Didn't it always say "possibly"?

Oh well. It doesn't matter. I've already added the PC-98 version source code to my list of Konami demands.

Marc, did you know that there have been improvements made to PC-98 emulation recently? Now, the characters in Policenauts actually move their lips.

I'm pretty sure the source code was destroyed after one of Konami's executives cocaine binges...that kind of stuff gets "lost" real easily it seems :/
