Patch is up (v1.01 incoming)

Post by Artemio »

I've had little time, but am currently trying to give some feedback to someone that is very capable and has done some great code for dumping the game. Hopefully by this weekend I will do my best to have time and improive the actual state of the dump. Everything looks bright although a lot of work is yet to be done.

Good look with the videos, I tried to find a way to uncode/recode them but I failed...

I have to talk with cyberwarriorx. If he agrees, I will send you what he deduced about the video format plus the little extra info I was able to get.

I also have been having problems with the Policenauts videos on the Sega Saturn version.
They seem to be in a Quicktime type of file but the it doesn't want to work with it.
Still no one has a solution to this dillema?

Probably was too Japanese for them, back then. Kojima was hardly a big name at the time, either.

All the same, Kojima wasn't all that famed until the original MGS2 trailer came out.

Snatcher was hardly a big hit over here though, due to the Sega CD release. It's still uncommon for Kojima fans to have played it.

Jeremy Blausten has said so himself in interviews and e-mails....

do you have a link to one of those intreviews? i would be intrested in reading that.

I am planning on writting an article on MGS.org about how close this game came to being released in US and how now Konami is just ignoring it when it comes to releasing it in US.

The closer I have is this when he says he knows nothing of an already translatedversion in progress... I'll look for a reference to that info.. I can't recall where I read it. It had something to do with his company (Magicbox) though.

I've contacted him in the past... and he is quite friendly and nice. Nowadays I don't have his address, but amd quite sure it is somewhat easy to do if you have a serious proposal. Otherwise, forget about it.
