Kojima and mAtrix Reloaded

Post by damasch »

hi @ all

I heard that the Wachowski-brothers wanted Hideo to work with them on Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions. Is that true ? I think it would have been a great collaboration, wouldn't it ? I used google, but I have not found anything about this romour.

They probably wanted him to write the scripts for them, since they were clearly struggling. If this is true then I expect Kojima either told them he was busy (which he probably was) or read their scripts and then turned them down quite firmly. If he had gone for it I would have lost a large amount of respect for the man.

He just had a few talks with them, for completely undisclosed reasons. There were rumors of Kojima working on a Matrix game, the Brothers working on a MetalGear film and this, to mention a few of the rumors people thought up. I think the brothers basically wanted to talk to him since they were videogame fans and he was a big movie fan.
