Chan-wook Park and Hideo Kojima?

I was searching for some info about Park when I came across this comment he made:

"I can see why my films remind people of computer games, but I've never played one. Actually, I was approached by a Japanese designer of a PlayStation game called Metal Gear Solid. When I met him, I found that there was nothing really to talk about. But I was told that I was idolized in the world of computer games."

I wasn't even aware Kojima was a fan of Park's films. It does seem funny that he can't even remember Kojima's name though.

He's gone on record saying that Oldboy is one of his favorite movies.

Though I haven't seen all of Oldyboy, I'm already aware of the sick twist. I strongly recommend his other films. Namely, Sympathy of Mr. Vengeance and Symphathy for Lady Vengeance. Three Extremes is alright. It's nice to know that he's a fan of this kick ass director.
