You really should have no problem finding kubricks (except for the olive drab), they appear very often on yahoo auctions and even on ebay( but it's too expensive there).

Re: What's it worth?
Thanks man, cheers for the info. I'll be sure to keep my eyes out. Although I'm not into collecting Kubricks, it'd be handy to come across a cheap lot like the one I saw earlier.

Re: What's it worth?
any ideas on how much a sealed MGS4 pre-order bandana is worth? I see them all the time on eBay, just wondering what people would be willing to pay for one.

$5-8 US
should be a cheap item, you're likely to pay more in shipping than the bandana itself heh

Yeah, it's an official item. There's a ton of em out there so it's still really cheap. It was given out as a bonus item when people picked up their games.

What's a Sealed MGS3 Shareholder Version, Sealed MGS3 French Limited Edition, and a MGS2 PAL Tin Box Version worth?

Re: What's it worth?
I 'm not great for values on the PAL titles, but the MGS3 I'd say is a solid $250 sealed.
MGS3 would likely go cheaper than that off Yahoo Japan (I think when I got it it was $150 plus fees about 6 months ago) but on ebay the open ones tend to go for $100 so who knows. I'd probably estimate with the interest mine has gotten when I put it up for sale here it'd likely fetch $300 on ebay. I actually still get msgs about it (mgs3) from when I had it on ebay and it didn't sell (I was asking a HIGH price) from people wanting to buy it now heh. Someone even offered $500 for the MGS2 sealed, but I immediately declined.
MGS2 shareholder sealed would be really interesting to see in an auction without a buy out price. I'm thinking at least $300 but more likely over $400. I even know non-Metal Gear collectors that collect general video games that have been hunting it. Honesty I love the game so much I'D be in the running for a 2nd one at $300 even though I'm getting rid of doubles.
Last night someone sold the UK MGS3 susbsistence LE in tin and I think it went under 50GBP. The guy was in Finland with 0 feedback however. I'd say for the french one $100-$120. Gixo recently sold one on ebay, you should ask him what he got for his
The PAL tin box one you might get cheaper buying it used, then replacing the game inside with a sealed one. I think the games with or without tin case are the exact same. So buying a used one with case might run you about $30 and then whatever a sealed one costs, whereas a sealed on in tin might garner ALOT of attraction and end up costing more than what I suggested.
Hope that helps!

Re: What's it worth?
I wouldnt think they'd be worth MUCH, but I mean, other than the collecting factor, if you find a collector who wants everything, u might be able to scrap those out for money.
I'd say the only thing that is worth something there is probably the last item with his signature (assuming its really signed and not printed)

Re: What's it worth?
it's printed. it's from the preorder items for mgs2 "optical disc" when preordering the limited edition black box. the figure is probably the one that is in the black box, since the black art book and optical disc are from there as well. since its being shown, it means that envelope was opened, which contained that little kojima letter and the optical disc. the envelope is in there, it's the one that says "out 2001" with the black sticker on the back.TSi wrote:I'd say the only thing that is worth something there is probably the last item with his signature (assuming its really signed and not printed)
i'm interested in the promo items, if you are looking to sell them. i don't know any prices however.

Never seen a MGS3 sealed except the steel tin, but I haven't been searching for one so that could explain that one. I got my MGS4 promo for around the £30 - £35 mark if I remember rightly.TSi wrote:Just wondering:

You'll be looking at £40 - £60 I imagine. I saw one close the other day for £45 ish the other day. But there's BiN's around for £60 ish.TSi wrote:Woops, I mean the sealed Steel Tin for Snake Eater PAL.
Luckily there seems to be plenty going around and as per the "What's Hot" thread, MGS3 is apparently NOT! lol, so that could work to your advantage!

Re: What's it worth?
I'm not asking a question, but check out:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Metal-Gear-Solid-2- ... dZViewItem
Closed at $255. Before that a few months ago it peaked over $400 (I think $412.50 ... I can't remember for sure).
This is really becoming one of the premium games to have sealed, so keep your eyes peeled. If you can get one under $200 don't hesitate.

Re: What's it worth?
This kind of prices really wonders me. Things like that also happen in the Muse collection (for their first EP's for example, made to 999 copies each. You see them on ebay every two or three weeks, but they go for like 500-600$ because a lot of people know about them). It's often when items are very popular AND rare that they can match this range of prices. But weirdly, these are not the rarest items. They're just very popular, hence sought after, but you'll see them several times in a month. On the opposite, there are some more obscure yet as interesting items, that also go for a lot but not this much because less people know about them. This kind of paradoxe is funny to me but I guess there are some differences between a valuable item and a rare item.
I bought a MGS2 sealed UK game two months ago, and I had no idea these were so expensive. I just bought it for my MGS2 tin but I didn't think I would have to pay this much. I guess I'll come back to sealed games next summer, but it's all a bit too expensive for what it is considering these items aren't really about rarity, they're just valuable. Rarity is something else to me. The kind of items you see once or twice in a year. There are some exceptions of course, like the sealed shareholder versions, sealed premium packs, or sealed vr missions uk pack, because these are more "obscure" items (and yet they aren't the most obscure there is), so considering even unsealed they're worth a lot, the sealed version is the top. But when it comes to regular games, I don't really see the point. But that's just my opinion, I won't spend anywhere near the hundreds anymore for regular sealed games.

Re: What's it worth?
Yeah I'd have to agree matt, you make a good point. For a regular sealed game it seems like an absurd price to pay. I am looking for sealed PAL games but I refuse to pay prices like that. Maybe one day when I get more income I'll be able to part with the cash but it just seems unrealistic to spend that much money on a regular game that I'll never get anything out of, cos I'll never sell it and I'll only ever look at it and not play it or enjoy the inserts! lol.
