If you had to go on a MGS mission, which one would u choose?
I've seen this topic on a few other sites and thought I'd post one here. What Metal Gear Solid mission would you choose to go on and why?

Re: If you had to go on a MGS mission, which one would u choose?
well, when we get right down to it, they're all practically the exact same mission. Infiltrate here, collect intel on Metal Gear, a few twists and turns later destroy said metal gear, and go on your way. Save of course for the jumbled together MGS4.
Anyways, it's a bit hard for me to pick, but I'm gonna have to go with MGS2, just because of all the WTF moments. Of course, MGS and MG2 aren't far behind.

Probably MGS, as it's the only game in the list where Snake doesn't ever come close to dying (at the end of the Tanker, before The Sorrow, and several times during MGS4).
Re: If you had to go on a MGS mission, which one would u choose?
Although MGS2 is my favorite, I chose the mission and plot of MGS3...

Well then what does it matter, Snake lives through all of them doesn't he? If you're just going by what happened to Snake. You may do thing's differently, and different things might happen to you. Re: If you had to go on a MGS mission, which one would u choose?
I think MGS1 is the one where he gets screwed over the worst by almost everybody in my opinion, but MG2 would be shit wouldn't it? Your friends betraying you (Black Color, Gray Fox) and setting your father on fire for just being a bad dad.
MGS4 would be a lot of globe trotting, so I'd be knackered by the end of it all, being an old man and on the verge of death. Being a pretty boy with a blond wig, in MGS2, that everybody hated would suck, heck, even my supposed girlfriend hates me. Ack, in my opinion, Raiden had it the worst in the MG series in a single game; pretty much everybody lied to him, he's humiliated, his dark past comes to light (Jack The Ripper), he learns of a secret organisation that control America, who talk down on him to no end and he has to kill his "daddy" after he learns that he killed his biological parents.
Yeah, I'd never want to participate in MGS2.
MGS3 would be a bit saddening, since it pretty much made Big Boss an emotional wreck afterwards.
Eh, with this much rationale going on, I'll go ahead and say MGS1, just because I love cold environments.

This is a surprise almost everyone at Gametrailers said MGS2. I would just like to do both MGS and MGS2 because those are the best.

Definitely not MGS2. I hate swimming.
I'd have to say MGS. I've always wanted to try a TV guided missile launcher.

Yeah, but swimming isn't nearly as important as in MGS2, plus Snake has scuba gear when he swims at the beginning. Plus I didn't like Dead Cell as much as FoxHound.SnakeMGS4 wrote:But you also have to swim in MGS1 and you have the guided missile launcher in MGS2 too.Lieutenant Seed wrote:Definitely not MGS2. Re: If you had to go on a MGS mission, which one would u choose?
MGS3!!!!! Having to eat to survive, fixing your wounds to make healing faster was so realastic. And truly how many games can you destroy the enemies food supply and then set traps with your rotten food and poison them with it! But that's not the best part of the game.
I know in my eyes going up against "THE END" was the coolest most badass boss fight!!! 3 big ass sections of endless sniping, setting traps, slowly stalking your prey, was the most intense gameplay and boss fight!

Re: If you had to go on a MGS mission, which one would u choose?
MGS3 would have been my choice, but you lose an eye...and get seriously fucked over.
MGS2 had the most boring setting, but a great game!
MGS1 was great, but you end up causing the problem you where sent to stop basically.
it's strange but I'd have to say MGS4...
mainly because snake runs into nearly everyone from every MGS (you'd be in the company of all your freinds), he travels all over the place (even to shadow moses), he's never had so many weapons to choose from to get the job done with! (and the best technology).
not to mention all the questions he may have had...get answered, he finally saves the day...and can finally stop fighting for once and get some rest (at least until he dies).
Hell, you even get to pilot a "metal gear" in a battle against liquid/ocelot, and have "metal gear mkII" as a little sidekick (sorry BIG snatcher fan)....i just can't see going on any other mission.

Re: If you had to go on a MGS mission, which one would u choose?
I'd pick Metal Gear Solid 2, only because I know the layout of the Tanker and the Big Shell/Arsenal Gear allll too well. To this day I have finished Metal Gear Solid 2 15 times, and it never, ever gets old.
EDIT: I also don't understand why that many people picked MGS3 - Yes, EVA's hot and all, but think of the crazy-ass boss battles you'd have to endure. Are you, with YOUR eyesight - not Snake's, - but YOUR eyesight, really going to see The Fear camouflaged in amongst several samey-looking bushes in the middle of a fucking jungle? Would you REALLY want to risk doing fisticuffs with Volgin?
Most of all, once you start this mission IRL, would you REALLY want to keep going, knowing that there's absolutely no way out of losing an eye with no anesthetic administered to you beforehand?
