Post The meaning of 'kaamos'
Just thought that some people would like to know where the word 'kaamos' comes from. It is Finnish meaning a kind of dark atmosphere, both mental and physical. It's been said that it is a time of kaamos late in the autumn, when trees have lost their leaves, but it's now quite winter yet, when there's little light and everything looks dull and grey.

How the Boktai design team came across that word is something I'd really like to know.

Good find! I've been trying to figure out where they got that from.

OK, I'll add one to the list.

What Sabata says when he launches a grenade into the air and at other times is "Ankoku." It means darkness in Japanese and is equivelent to Django's "Taiyou." It took me some time figureing out what he was really saying. I should have put it together sooner, but it just never clicked in my head. The Japanese title for the BGM "Darkness" is "Ankoku." Go figure. OH, and when he warps, he says "Dark Warp." But, I thought that was easy to hear.
