I'm curious to know something. Is Konami planning on releasing Shintai in the US? The Japanese release is actually next month, yet I haven't seen anything on a possible US release. There's nothing on EBgames or Gamestop, nothing on Nintendo.com and nothing on KDEA's website. Hell, the game wasn't even shown on E3. Unless, the new Boktai DS is a port of Boktai 3 (which I doubt), I getting the impression that they decided to make Boktai 3 is Japan only for now.

How well did the first two Boktai games did here anyway?

I don't think boktai 2 is getting released in the UK, let-alone 3.

The UK site says otherwise.

9th of June? Strange, I've read one UK preview and that was around Decemberish.

Indeed, there is nothing at Konami's site. I asked the editor of the magazine I sometimes write for if teher was any announcement, and he tells me that they didn't announce or comment a thing about it... could take their time, we'll see if they do announce it. And last time they announced it at E3 and reelased in october.... I think there were a lot of otehr things they paid attention to, maybe we'll get it anyway, just it is not as important.

Well, the Japanese versions both came out in the Summer (like July-ish). The third game seems to be following this trend. It would be great to live in Japan and take advantage of the sun's rays....

The American releases were both in the fall....why....uhh.
The European version/s were even later, but closer to summer.

So perhaps, they just aren't talking about it yet. I would guess that it would be coming out in the states. Remember, they kept changing the release date in America for Boktai 2.

I didn't even think anybody here cared about the series.

Yeah, I saw the box and then remembered I didn't care. I'm saving up, but Friday's my 18th birthday, so I'm sure to be getting some games (I know killer7's one of them. Sounds like Policenauts if it was directed by Shinji Mikami, so I'm excited).

From what I understand killer7 has you playing as Harman Smith- A Schizophrenic Hitman with Seven destinctly different personalities. You switch between these personalities to use different techniques and weapons in the game.
Although you don't get to move the characters directly, you do get to chose which areas and rooms they visit.
Occasionally, you'll meet a Heaven's Smile (the enemies of killer7) and engage in combat, where the camera shifts to a first-person view. The aiming style is a lot like the one from MetalGear Solid 2+3, with you standing stationary, but moving the gun. The enemies are usually defeated by shooting their "Sweet Spots" (little yellow spots on the enemy), but some require a lot of thought.
There's also quite a lot of puzzles in the game, that require a good bit of backtracking, but apparentely the indirect control system makes looking for items a lot easier than in a standard Survival Horror game.

Actually, it was directed by Goichi Suda (of Grasshopper Manufacture, not Mikami.) And it's nothing like Policenauts at all.

So I found out when I played it. The reviews made it sound like Policenauts, though (A highly story-driven game without direct character-control, but clever shooting sequences).
