I think most of us are PS2 owners in the "alternate" crowd, so I think it's safe to say that we have.

What are you having trouble with?

I'm on the part right after you climb the windmill. You walk into the area and there is a chain and a closed gate leading somewhere. You climb the chain and then walk onto a grassy/concrete area. There are grates leading down into the place where the closed gate leads. On the other side of this grassy/concrete place, there is a drop into shallow water and if the drop is jumped across there is a large pipe. I'm not sure if this helps, but I REALLY feel stuck. If you can't figure out where I am, then I'll re-explain (hopefully more clearly).

Er... I think you should check gamefaqs :|
I usually forget in-game details right after I complete the thing. But maybe some other user can help :x

I've just completed GOD HAND for the first time. I really, really like the game. There's just so much that's great about it. Clover and Shinji Mikami have done a really great job of taking a long dead 2D genre and made a fantastic 3D game. Not only is this my favourite game from Clover, it's made my "top 5" games of all time. Some critics have been terribly harsh about the controls and the difficulty, while others (VideoGaiden) have suggested it's "one of the best games ever". I recommend that anyone who's interested should pick it up ASAP (after watching VideoGaiden's review on YouTube), as the eBay price will only increase over time.

Lol, I could've guessed that you liked the game man. It's on your avatar.
I just finished Ico (the place I was stuck turned out to be pretty simple, I just didn't see it), and the ending was amazing. Actually, the entire game was amazing! Next up, to finish is Resident Evil 4 and Castlevania Dracula X chronicles (rondo of blood, new version).

Oh yeah, could you please post a link for the God Hand Review, because I was thinking about buying, except the reviews I had read were very mixed, so I couldn't quite figure out what the game was like. (wow, talk about run-on sentences)

Hardcore Gaming 101 have a pretty comprehensive article on the game, that I recommend too (there's a couple of semi-spoilers, but you shouldn't worry about them).

If you buy it, I hope the problems with GOD HAND don't put you off the game. I wasn't sure about the controls when I started out (that's what put most people off the game), but as I got better at it I liked it more and more. Admittedly, my phase of "not being sure" about GOD HAND lasted about 3 minutes, then I was near euphoric about the mix of surreal comedy and incredibly OTT violence.

All of the Kunio Kun games are pretty fun. It's kinda strange how they range from genre to genre.

I completed Astro Boy: Omega Factor last weekend. I gave up on it for a long time, as the game's not very fun after you beat the "World's Strongest Robots" (TM), so I used a FAQ and finished it in a couple hours. Good game overall, but the plot's fairly messy. Typical Treasure, really.

Is that the astro boy game for ps2? I played a demo for it once, and it seemed like a pretty good game.

Playing through Deus Ex again, this time for the PC. Far superior to the PS2 port, which while good, has a number of niggling flaws. Such as longer load times, smaller maps and other things.

I'm playing SHODAI NEKKETSU KOUHA KUNIO-KUN and SHIN NEKKETSU KOUHA - KUNIO-TACHI NO BANKA both with the English patches applied (ROMs on ZSNES).

Fun beat em up titles and I will get done with them tomorrow it looks like (just a bit more to finish the set).

That's about all I'm playing at the moment.

Yesterday, I picked up a copy of No More Heroes and I must say that I was amazed. The gameplay is pretty damn awesome, and genuinely entertaining too. It's stylish too, but I'm beginning to wonder if that's all there is to it.

It gets far better in its second half. The action starts to show some depth at that point.

I bought it on Friday. I've completed it now (with the "Real Ending"). Some of the bosses are amongst the most memorable I've played against in a game, and the control system is the best in any game on the console. It's the biggest risk I remember anyone taking with the Wii (other than Nintendo by actually releasing their strange system), and I'm delighted that it turned into something so good. I'm urging more people to buy it, to help publishers realise that gamers want to play this sort of thing on the Wii.

The thing is, with No More Heroes, I spent the whole game comparing it to GOD HAND. Some of it came off worse because of that (for instance, fighting regular "grunts" is much more exciting in GOD HAND). Then again, there are other things in No More Heroes that are far better than GOD HAND. Essentially, all that I can recommend from that criticism is that fans of either game should definitely play both of them. They are very similar in many respects, and are two of the most fantastic action games out there.

I've also bought the American version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl (I have a Wii Freeloader) on Saturday. Excellent game. People who played Melee to death will find a lot of differences. Those who didn't will have trouble telling the games apart. It's far more accessible to newcomers though, which should help diversify the competitors online. I was a fairly big fan of Melee, but I'm utterly addicted to Brawl.

I just beat Suikoden II about a half hour ago. Next for me will be to finish up Oden Sphere, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, Resident Evil 4, Riviera, Phantom Brave, and Oni (which is a TERRIBLE game). There's more, but I think this is the pack that I'll be working on for the next couple of months.

Same here, I've had the game for quite some time now, and it STILL plagues me.

Re: Last game you completed?

I mentioned my new R4 cart elsewhere on the forum. I used to complete Elite Beat Agents and (far less interesting than it sounds) Duck Amuck last night.

As a fan of both Ouendan games, I was eager to play EBA, but put off by the overly camp soundtrack. After playing it, I was happy to discover that it didn't spoil the game as much as I had feared. In fact, I was more put off by the unsatisfying covers of songs that I did like (The Rolling Stones' "Jumping Jack Flash", The Stray Cats' "Rock This Town", etc.) than the predictable covers of those that I didn't. It pulls all the same tricks as Ouendan 1+2, but I haven't tired of the formula yet.

Duck Amuck interested me as I read it was supposed to be an interactive version of the Daffy Duck cartoon of the same name (the one where the illustrator keeps redrawing the different parts of the cartoon, much to Daffy's annoyance). I was bitterly disappointed when I found that was a fairly limited menu-style system to pick a bunch of bad minigames. The game finds a fairly cynical way of adding replay value without much content; it makes the basic game only around 15 minutes long. It should only take around 40 minutes to see everything the game has to offer. No good at all.

That's interesting. I heard that it was an excellent game from multiple people. If it was so terrible, why did you bother finishing it?
