Good Freeware Games

Post by JimboKudo »

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has ever played the games 5 days a Stranger, 7 days a Skeptic, Trilby's Notes, and 6 days a Sacrifice. They're four adventure games that are absolutely amazing. The really cool thing is that it's a quadrilogy, so each game develops the overall plot. Anyway, they go in the order that I named the games, so if anyone wants to try them, then they should definetly give it a shot.

Oh yeah, and if anyone has any good suggestions for other freeware games, then please post them (I'd like to develop a whole list of good freeware games for everyone to enjoy).

Well, here are my favourites:

Beneath A Steel Sky

Streets Of Rage Remake

Agatha Christie: Peril at End House
http://www.freewaregames.net/fwpro/game ... ?game=1026
(You may also find many other freeware games on here, too)

A Tale Of Two Kingdoms (done in the style of classic Sierra and LucasArts point and click adventure games of the 90s)
http://crystalshard.net/atotk.php

There's also Wikipedia to help you out with your complete list, since there are still some missing on there, but is still an extensive list:

Hope this helps a bit. :)

Nice. I've tryed playing Beneath a Steel Sky once, but I (embarrisingly) couldn't make it out of the first room. The guard kept coming up the stairs and capturing me. I think I'll have to go revisit that, so that I can redeem myself lol.

On another note, I highly suggest playing the adventure game The White Chamber. It's an anime style horror adventure game, and, while it may not be as good as beneath a steel sky, is probably a 7.5 out of 10. Anyway, I started playing the white chamber this morning and I just finished it (I also took a lot of breaks to do yardwork), so it isn't particularly long.

I should also mention two games that EVERYONE should play. If these are the only two games mentioned that you ever play, these are the ones you must. They are by an author called Pixel. Ika-Chan (an underwater adventure game) and Cave Story (it would be too hard to explain). These are must-plays, so please, pull yourselves away from your high-graphical games and spend some time on these. Here is the link for Ika-chan http://www.caiman.us/scripts/fw/f1792.html and here's the one for Cave Story (the better of the two) http://dlx.caiman.us/pageN.php?nr=1699&f=CaveStory.zip

Again, any suggestions for freeware games are welcome, so please post your opinion on them (if you have one). Thanks again guys.
