Exciting news from Konami?

Post by Spartikcus »

Found this on ign:

A quick visit to the official Konami Website will bring visitors to an interesting statement. Plastered right there on the front page for all to see is a compelling teaser statement. Only two sentences in length, it reads simply like this:

"Check back on January 27th for some exciting news from Konami! If you love games, you don't want to miss this!

No indication as to what this "exciting news" could be has been made as of yet, but given the fact that Konami doesn't usually advertise upcoming information, we can only assume that its taking whatever it is very seriously. Could it be an announcement for an all-new game? A merger or acquisition announcement? Nobody knows, but you can bet that when we do know, we'll be back to tell you about it.

Here is the site if you don't know it: Konami Website

Hopefully its something Policenaut related.

I'm a little excited about this too. Personally, i hope it's Metal Gear related, but somehow i doubt it. We'll know Thursday.

I may be Snake Eater related though i doubt it will be anything Kojima related at all, probably something like a free demo of upcoming games or something

They've probably came up some bold new arcade venture. After all, they did invent Bemani.

I just heard that this so called exciting news was just a new Castlevania for the PS2,
but why would the say "If you love games" if it was only one game for a certain console?

Damn, another year of wait =P, I'll get discouraged in a couple of decades if this goes on...

Nope, it's never coming.

Hope you will enjoy another easily forgettable Frogger game and the TMNT-licensed Mario Party-clone.

I think the surprising thing is that all the games on their line-up are so lackluster, it's hard to believe it's coming from Konami. Maybe Capcom, but.... this really is just the beginning of the transition to new consoles.

Yeah, because we all know these are the only games they've planned on releasing for the rest of the year.

Even so, I finds it hard to believe by the looks of that lineup that anything else this year could possibly top Rengoku: The Tower of Purgatory. And that's three bitch. Don't think I'm not keeping count.

Or you could stop being such a prima-donna and quit taking yourself so seriously all the time. Whichever you prefer. :p

BTW. You don't need me to be made fun of. You're kinda already doing a good job yourself.

The last thing I would do is take you of all people seriously Johnny. I'd say I was just fucking with you, but it seems like you've already got a dick up your ass.
