The voice-actress gives me chills. I wish this was for the Vita.

Really interesting, and ambitious.
Am I the only one thinking that this trailer is a reference to the beginning of one of MGS4's latest trailers ? (with Naomi)
Also, Kris Zimmerman ! (YEAH !!)

Finally someone who knows what we want, and who's not gonna bring us the usual crap only to make more money.
I'm expecting to see a demo at some Apple keynote, that's a very ambitious project for a mobile device.

I just don't get why such an ambitious game is going for a platform that's not made for games. I know Payton wanted to make the ultimate mobile game, but why restrict it to just iOS devices? This game would be perfect for the Vita.
Same goes for Mass Effect: Infiltration and Arkham City Lockdown. Who WOULDN'T want AAA franchises like ME or Batman, even if stripped down versions, on a platform with so much potential yet (currently) so few games?

This game seems great for any mobile device, the simple gameplay takes advantage of the simplicity of a touchscreen.

On one hand, the Vita and Nintendo DS also have touchscreens, so it would be fair to release République also on these platforms.
On the other hand, if I get to choose between playing this on a small iPhone/Vita screen, or an iPad, I go with the iPad ! Let's not forget that iOS also means tablet, I personally think a tablet can be good at many things, including gaming, if the developers come up with great ideas.

But contrary to traditional gaming systems, iOS devices are updated every year, so isn't there a risk that République doesn't take full advantage of some better, new GPU for example next year when it's released ?
I don't know how they develop this kind of game, do they make a "super HD" version that doesn't even run on the latest devices, and then make it "less HD" depending on the specifications of the current device ?
