Post Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys English Dub Auditions

Alright, allow me to introduce everyone to a project that I’ve been kicking around for over two years now. The Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys English dub project on the TurboGrafx-CD!

As most of you already know NightWolve in 2004 released an English patch for all the in-game text for YsIV. However all of the game’s cut scenes remained voiced in Japanese. There have been several attempts to create a fan-dub for Ys IV’s cut scenes but none of them were ever finished. Ys IV has been waiting 8 years for a proper dub and I know I have the skills and determination to finally give it one. NightWolve is also supporting this project and plans on integrating the dub into a new release of his patch when the project is completed.

For more information on the Ys IV Dub Project please check out the audition page on Voice Acting Alliance here: http://voiceactingalliance.com/board/sh ... oGrafx-CD-

If you think this audition sounds interesting then please help me spread the word. Inform any actors you know about the audition, post about it online, or even audition yourself! I would greatly appreciate it.

Sounds really cool. Too bad my voice is too scratchy for recording.

Hey, isn't Ys IV being remade for PlayStation Vita?

From what I understand that's a completely different game. The Vita game is a re-imagining of Tonkin House's Ys IV: Mask of the Sun (SNES). This is a fandub for Hudson's Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys (TG-CD) which Falcom has deemed, non-canon, in favor of Mask of the Sun.
The re-imagining of Ys IV on the vita is being made solely by Falcom so they can have there very own Ys IV.

...did that make sense?
