A dark day has happened to Nintendo. This is all too sudden. And nearly two years after Yamaguchi's death...

Yes, he was to young. It was a hard blow, he was well respected and liked. An excellent programmer, businessman and face for Nintendo. A real shame.

It was quite saddening to hear of his passing, especially after it had recently been reported that he was recovering. I came across this translated blog post from Seaman developer Yoot Saito, definitely worth a read for anyone unfamiliar with Iwata and his work.
