the Zork series
I really like these games and I highly recommend them to anyone who likes a good adventure game. My favorite out of the text based ones has to be Zork 1. With Zork 3 running a very close second. My favorite graphical game is the series is Zork: Grand Inquisitor, Zork: Nemesis takes second place by a hair. These games have challenging puzzles and excellent stories. Give 'em a shot!

Years ago I bought a compilation pack which had the three graphical Zork games in a pack. I have to say that I love Grand Inquisitor most of them. Later on I hunted down a DVD version of it. While I think Nemesis is also a good game, it seems to lack much of the quirkiness and humor I would expect from Zork in favour of a much darker atmosphere.

Yeah. Nemesis isn't true Zork. It stands up very well on its own merits thoughCrowley wrote:While I think Nemesis is also a good game, it seems to lack much of the quirkiness and humor I would expect from Zork in favour of a much darker atmosphere.
