Thanks, homunkurus, we'll look into xdelta/your patch.
midori fox wrote: So is there any difference in the PS1 version and the previous ones?
I think Marc could speak to this best, so I'll defer to him, but as far as I know, 3DO version is considered the worst and pSX/Saturn/PC98 versions can come down to a matter of taste. But I honestly don't know a whole lot about the Saturn version (save it does have light gun support and some extra content)
lonheartda60 wrote: So idk if this will upset people, but will the private collection be translated as well?
Um, this is also not really my area of expertise but as I understand it, Private Collection is a three disc set, with the first two discs being the game? I really don't know. The game's all I'm personally working on. I think the sites themselves (policenauts.net and junkerhq.net) have a lot of that translated in terms of the glossary, etc. but Marc and Artemio would know more about it.

Note: As far as I know, the patch will work on all 3 PSX versions of the game, regular, The Best, and Private Collection if that's what you meant. If there is a special case for the three versions, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Private Collection on PSX IIRC is just a Database for the game (kinda like MGS4 Database). The only gameplay segments its that it has Shooting Range and 4 Segments from the Shooting Sequences. But most of the content IIRC is graphics featuring profiles, info, glossary, voice-actors, etc etc.

Also, a doubt from the game. (Minor spoiler ahead)
Spoiler:
Which audiotracks are in the Hojo's CDs? I know there's a lot of remixes and original tunes from Kojima works, but a list would be greatly appreciated...

Any chance we shall see any interviews translated about the game? Preferably with Kojima himself. Never read an interview for Policenauts before.

Has anyone seen the new assasins creed 2 teaser trailer?....something looks extremely familiar to policenauts. Can someone post a pic of what I'm talking about? You'll know it when you see it.

the only thing i see even slightly related to policenauts is the vitruvian man, which predates kojima by several hundred years.

The Vitruvian Man, done by Leonardo DaVinci - is a model of man, naked with his arms and legs spread in a square and circle.

Vitruvian Man: http://idmilano.com/blog/wp-content/pho ... an_man.jpg

The Policenauts logo is what I like to call "The Vitruvian Astronaut" - it's a man in the same pose and square/circle, but he's dressed in a spacesuit.

"Vitruvian Astronaut" http://www.thespacestore.com/eva.html

Apparently, that's not wholly original either, as Marc pointed out there's photographs of real-life EVA suits with the Vitruvian Astronaut.

The Policenauts Logo is different in that:
- The Astronaut's holding a gun in the Policenauts logo
- One of the Astronaut's feet is turned to the side (you can see the left heel in the camera)

huh, never noticed the foot turned to the side. Its interesting that the vitruvian man's left foot is also turned, but the official patch with the astronaut is not.

The drawing is based on the correlations of ideal human proportions with geometry described by the ancient Roman architect Vitruvius in Book III of his treatise De Architectura. Vitruvius described the human figure as being the principal source of proportion among the Classical orders of architecture. Other artists had attempted to depict the concept, with less success. The drawing is traditionally named in honour of the architect.
