What happened to J-War?
He was working on a Metal Gear 2 soundtrack remix labeled "resurrection". He posted an mp3 of the main theme along with a medly of the soundtrack... It sounded amazing and appeared to be almost finished. He said he'd be posting it soon, then a few months ago, his website just dissapeared. It was a french website i think.
Anyone know what happened? Anyone else know what i'm talking about? I really want to get ahold of this guy...
I can post the two mp3s of his that i do have if anyone wants them...
[EDIT] here is a link to the now defunct website... it's a snapshot taken by "archive.org", the real website is offline.

Metal Gear 2 - Resurrection - J-War
I know J-War from the MSX scene, not JunkerHQ, but I haven't heard from him in a long time. You are right that he is a French guy. He had big plans for creating an MSX tribute music website or something like that, for which I wanted to contribute several of my Arranger stuff as well. But it looks like it'll never happen.
I've never done a Metal Gear specific album either...there is some Metal Gear stuff in The Complete Works though including MG2's main theme.

update!
I tracked down J-War's msn screenname and caught him online at around 4:00am chicago time while i was up late working on a college paper... anyway, looks like the place that hosted his website blew up or something and he's sol.
He said he'd completed the project but wanted to wait until he had a faster internect connection before he would upload it anywhere.
nice to know he's still around... i'm still excited for the damn remix. the sample medley was awesome.

Did he ever release the soundtrack anywhere? I followed him for a bit but never saw anything posted, or any new websites... Just wondering if I missed it somewhere.

Re: Metal Gear 2 - Resurrection - J-War
OH MY GOD!!!!!!
So J-War's hard drive exploded pretty much which is why we never saw a final release of the remixed tracks. Just recently I happened to do a search for it and it just so happens he found a backup CD at his aunt's house!!!
http://mp3.jwar.fr/mg2/ Here is his site describing the story of finding the CD.
http://www.msx.org/news/music/en/metal- ... ment-j-war Here is a great site to download individual tracks or the full album.
Unbelievable that this surfaced!!! I'm listening to it now and it's awesome. Unfortunately there are some skips and pops because the CD was in terrible shape but he did a great job not only in creation but the recovery of the tracks....
Anyway, if anyone was excited to hear it and heartbroken that it was lost, here it is!!!
