The only guy on ebay selling it has banned my account from bidding on his items (LOOOONG story).
I can't seem to find any other sites that sell it, at least not sites that allow you to buy it without registering an account.
So, any idea where I can pick it up?
Also, a question:
How good is it? Is it basically an A-Z encyclopedia of everything MG related?
I've heard on random trimmings about it (mainly that it's supposed to explain the entire MG series in precise detail). But I've not seen it first hand.

Cool, Otaku.co.uk looks very nice. Anyway, I wont be getting Metal Gear Naked as it has TTS in it, I hate that game so much >.< Perfect Metal Works looks good though.

They've got a lot of new MetalGear items, now, including the Official Susbsistence Guide which seems to include guides for MetalGear and MG2: Solid Snake, and pretty cool looking Official AC!D2 Guide which includes a Card List, Slipcase and a real AC!D Card.

That's true. It's not really that niche though... isn't Brady Games do a Resident Evil mook aimed at the American market? I remember seeing an ad for it.

They're all strategy guides, aren't they?
I don't think the American market are all that interested in the early MetalGear games, and most of the other information would already be quite well-publicised, I'd think, considering we don't have inside information.

You mean Resident Evil Archives. That was a translation of a Japanese book, Biohazard Archives. It's a pretty good sourcebook, but Brady's translation (which they actually outsourced to another company) left a lot to desire (which is why I'm glad I still picked up the Japanese original). There are way too many obvious mistakes, including instances where the words "Resident Evil" replaced "Biohazard" when it wasn't appropiate ("a Resident Evil outbreak has been detected").
Wikipedia is alright, but sometime some of the users (particularly the anon ones) feel the need to ruin a perfectly good article with their needless speculation. I wish there would be an officially authorized MGS sourcebook.
MGSnaked is hardly an equalivent to Biohazard Archives. It deals more with the creatuve process behind the development of the games than the actual fictional content (although, they do provide plot summaries and commentaries about every game in the series until MGS2).

A Resident Evil outbreak? How do they get that? Did they not have anybody proofread the book?

There's another instance where the UBCS (the mercenaries from RE3) are referred as the "Umbrella Resident Evil Countermeasure Service". Both of these mistakes occured in plot summaries, which is completely odd seeing how they're only talking about the storyline.
Also, on the item list, they translated every item there, but forgot to convert from their original gojuuon order into the western alphabet. The editors really did a sloppy job with the translation.
Regarding the mg collection of facts.. and I believe Kojima games in general.. I have some huge plans in mind, the resources but little time at the moment. It could grow into nothing if the project never starts, but I have some nice ideas and the coding skills to do a closed format, via login, work.
I make no promises whatsoever, but...
Knowing that the people that know the most of Metal Gear will probably read this message, I'd like to know who would be interested in participating in the future, say, during this year, on such a project collaborating and managing such a resource?
Just to keep a list of people in mind in case something like this ever gets built...

But I'm actually in very early talks with a publisher about doing an encyclopaedia-type coffee-table fan-book on the MG series. They said they liked the idea, and were going to investigate and see if there was market/retail demand for such a thing. If it looked good, they'd get back to me and we'd take it from there.
I've been wanting to break out of magazine writing for ages, and thought a book on a subject I know would be a good idea. Hence why I've been doing extra reading on the series, and wanted this MGSN book.
I think there is market interest in America/UK for such a book, since it's one of Konami's leading franchises, it's old and full of history (and therefor can make a decent book), the games practically sell consoles, plus another iteration is on the way. The mainstream know the games and would like the book, even if it did cover and contain very obscure information alongside broader subjects.
Anyway, please keep this quiet, since my pipe dream may turn out to be nothing.
