A Question about Endings

Post by Mr. Seed »

I've known that you get 'rated' in the MCD version of Snatcher on your competence as a Junker. However reading an interview with EGM's Nob Ogasawara and Mr. Yoshinori "Moai" Sasaki, assistant manager at R & D Dept. VI at Konami Co. Ltd.,

EGM's Nob Ogasawara with Mr. Yoshinori "Moai" Sasaki, assistant manager at R & D Dept. VI at Konami Co. Ltd., I read:

-----------------------
Q: Were any changes made to the story?

YS: No. The ending part has been changed somewhat. There aren't multiple
endings,
but you are graded for how well you solved the mysteries. Plus Act 3 has been altered significantly.
----------------------

Is this implying that the PCE version had different endings? If so, what variations where there? Can anyone enlighten me?

No, the PCE version didn't have multiple endings. But the original PCE ending was not what was scripted for various reasons. The Sega CD version has several of those things that didn't make it into the PCE version, and thus they said it was changed from the PCE version.

So the two shooting scenes on Act 3 were also already scripted for Super CD-Rom version, or they were totally new ideas for Mega CD version?

Hey! You still don't have a Sega CD?
What are you waiting for, Nintendo to make one?

They're not counting shooting Jamie as an ending, are they?

The 2 shooting scenes are totally new for the Sega CD version, as is the Jamie-is-shootable bit.
