Sounds cool to me mate, I think we're on similar wavelengths, I don't wanna buy a ton of different language games I can't play on my PAL system either. I love artbooks too so yeah, quite similar in many ways!

id say, grab a used copy somewhere cheap and play that instead... of the sealed one =P

Ah that's a tough one mate! I can't make that call, I am really liking PO at the moment so I'd say open it and what the hell! Just enjoy it innit. But it's your call, if you can snap up the disc on its own on eBay for cheap I'd probably try that option first. EDIT: Yeah like TSi said! lol.

I personally think that the regular MGS series sealed would be more valuable as a collectors item than the peripheral (if that's the right word) games. But then again, anything sealed is a good thing, it just bugs me to keep things sealed cos I'm not getting anything out of it AT ALL! The only exception I make is for my MGS Gold Package, it needs to stay sealed I know that! lol. The only other exceptions I will make are shareholder games, figures and 1st prints or something like that. Somthing I know will hold its value immensly.

Hope that helps! I know loads of people will disagree but it's just my opinion and something I will stand by for my collection.

ahaha, I"m actually thinking the exact opposite...

Everything that is cheap (not SUPER EXPENSIVE) should be sealed... and then WHEN I get my sealed Gold Premium Shareholder Package... I WILL open it (well, I will once I meet Kojima and get him to sign it). That is even MORE ultimate than having it sealed.

But of course, like jon said, it is up to you, it will of course hold a better value sealed, but you won't be getting anything out of it, and chances are, u'll need to buy another copy or something to enjoy it.

For me, I'm trying to keep everything in the series sealed... stuff like MGAcid, MGAcid2, those... well, I have them as used Mint.

I agree. As much as I love to keep items sealed, I will open something for a signature. My MGS1 premium package is mostly sealed. The outside wrapping was removed (and put back) for Kojima and Shinkawa to sign/sketch it. Everything inside is still sealed.

But, I probably wouldn't need to open anything else. If I ever got something signed it'd be the black sorter (it was never sealed) signed with a silver marker. That would be incredible. Plus a Shinkawa sketch of Raiden on it...oh man...., I'd fly anywhere to attend that signing if I was confident I could get it done heh. Or I'd love a nice 8x10 photo of my collection signed. That'd be sweet too.

Newest item:

This was a private sale from someone that found my website. $80, which is really good considering I've never seen it sell anywhere close to $100. It also came with the white box it came in but it's not really something worth taking a picture of heh. It took a while to get here (from Germany), but it's now in it's permanent home.

Heh, there's some much cooler S.T.A.R.S. watches out there I must admit...

Now *THAT'S* a sharp looking watch.

The problem - I'm not pay 71,000Y for it... .... ......nope...

lmfaooooooo, for 710$ , i can grab something a LOT nicer looking.
personally, i think if you're getting something collectable that seems... like it is usable and its overpriced... i rather spend it on getting the real watches that i can wear instead.

I thought GSX watches were good watches?

But what do I know.

I've got a really nice Esquire watch, but only because it was a gift from work. I've never spent more than $80 on a watch in my life heh, and that was on the Foxhound one.

not that they are bad watches, but what I mean is... gawd damn, if you start buying a few of those, even if you put it in the display or something... hardly anyone will "recognize" that its a RE watch.

I mean, of course, if you put all ur RE stuff together, they might be able to make out what "RPD" is and whatnot, but then its not much of a bling (showy item that will CATCH your eyes) compared to something like... the Shareholder Premium or Signed Kojima items.

Heh, I've got 2 on the way, but before anyone asks, the other is spoken for.

Just so you know, I recently called about their stock of these. I was told initially they were sold out, but after mentioning it was still available on the site the guy "double checked" and said a few more are still available. So if you haven't gotten one yet these will likely sell out soon. I mean, only 500?

so if i do get nuber 1/500 which is high possiblity since when i asked store staff could not buy these what do you think that would be worth? not that im going to sell it would be nice to own something rare that will boost my collection?

being first to preorder doesnt always mean you'll be the first to get it. so there is also a chance you might not get 1/500.

also, think of it this way... when they UNPACK it bulk, and repack it, what are the chances they will unpack it number by number and reorder it to the people who preordered it.

Trust me, not much more. Maybe 20-25%.

I collect sports cards and many are numbered and that's usually what the premium is.

However, if you have a serial #'d Michael Jordan card and you got #23 (his jersey number) - that can go for over double.

My wife's side of the family is from England so she still has relatives there. She's the oldest in the family at 25 that was born in Canada. Two of her aunts bought them for us.

sry sry! but like you said, theres always a chance. but in terms of rarity, i wouldn't really know... maybe ull find a collector who'll buy it 4 times the price.

as i said man its likely to be that i sell one. i actually paid for one myself and my parents paid for one as part of a birthday present (they paid a while before my birthday), so i want one for my collection and well i really dont need two.
i think its cool they give you a certificate of authenticity with it.

Nice figure, but I'm sure glad I waited until these were $170 and not $270. I saw alot of people buy these quite high and all they had to do was wait a few weeks. Once my Raiden arrives in the mail I'll have them all.

I need another Squares Camo Snake however as my other does not have the box and extra accessories. I'll probably buy one as soon as some sales go through but it'll cost me quite a bit dammit.
