Lance, I wouldn't start to feel sorry for him just yet. I REALLY don't wanna birst the bubble on this but if you're into "Official" items then you'd best check for the word Konami on there somewhere. If it says the word Miya then it's a dud. The music is the same but it's a bootleg CD I'm afraid.
I got stung by cheap MGS CD's once. Never again. But then again, if you only want it for the music and not to add to your "official" Konami items then it's a very good purchase for the price. In fact the Starsailor song alone is worth what you paid for it, let alone Eva's remeniscence! I love it! It has to be my favourite soundtrack ever!
P.S. if you would like to, you may wanna check the soundtrack thread and the wiki for more info on soundtracks and official ones.

I started opening each box from top left to right, then 2nd row from left to right and so on. Imagine, having 6 boxes left to open, the CHASE Snake came out 5th to the last! Boy was I relieved! Now I have two Chase Snakes...

My hand is dirty because I just got back from the gym.
The Chase was the 5th one I got from the start (starting top left), so I figured perhaps I'd get another one. But no such luck. We need a ninja!!!

I wish Famitsu did international subscriptions. It doesn't even matter I can't read them. The pictures are cool enough!

Yep, I collect the MGS issues. They are great.

Oh man...I got it today...
The signed MGS4 theater style poster. It's currently undergoing my "flattening process" but in a few hours it'll be ready for framing. It's fucking gorgeous (excuse the language, but you'll see it's justified heh).
Also got the Old Snake MGS4 poster that cost me a ridiculous 500Y and the signed poster came with these awesome big cardboard promo "pamphlets" that'll take pictures of front/back of everything.

Didn't take as long as I thought it would, well, here we go!
MGS4 triple signed theater style poster
Promo materials included with the poster at the signing "Side A"
Promo materials included with the poster at the signing "Side B"
Old Snake theater style poster
Well, the Old Snake poster I'm very happy about. Not only was it dirt cheap, but it's in mint condition. Anything that looks like it might be a defect is just glare/reflections. The MGS4 theater style poster is now easily my most cherished item, even ahead of the gold shareholder package. It's so much nicer than I had hoped, and I love this one especially because Kojima's signature is right at the top beside Ocelot. I wish Kikuchi didn't sign it (I'd prefer a Shinkawa sketch of Rex there instead) but still, this item is
fucking beautiful. This is the most expensive Metal Gear purchase I've ever made as well, and it was worth every penny. Now that I own it and have seen it in person I would've easily paid the $700-$1000+ it used to sell for (I snagged for 46,500Y). The promo stuff is really cool too. Big and glossy. Now I see why people collect that stuff, and maybe I'll warm up to collecting promo pamphlets as well now. Only 50 of these signed posters exist by the way.

illusion isn't the only one that has been busy lately.
Here's what has accumulated in my collector vault at home during the past couple of weeks.
(I'm too lazy to take some pictures right now of the actually in hand items so I am using the ones from the auctions)
A nice little chew toy for my doggy! Not! RAH Raiden (it seems bigger in person)
MGS 2 Substance for Xbox and MGS Twin Snakes for GC. Both Sealed
Twin Snakes Double Sided Poster
Side 1
Side 2
MGS 3 Snake Eater Promo Poster
MGS 4 UK Promo Poster (Large Version)
MGS 4 Snake and Raiden Promo Poster
MGS 2 Substance Figure Box Sealed (or should I say, sealed individual boxes).
(Thanks to johnyraiden) A very expensive Postcard for MGS 3 Snake Eater.
MG Acid 1 (used)
MGS Unauthorized Guide
Lastly, Zone of the Enders - The 2nd Runner Sealed
I am starting to see a void where my money use to reside. But I am happy.
I got a couple of other Snake Eater posters coming as well, I'll post those when they arrive.

Nice haul GK!
As far as the postcard, I hope you didn't pay THAT much on that as I know someone in France that has like 20+ of these and sells em for I think $2.50 each.
Love the MGS3 promo poster. It's one I've thought about adding as well but they're always in Europe so shipping is pricey.
