Never mind. It does it for me too. The sounds stops and the game freezes. I thought it didn't do that before, weird. I'll try what slowbeef said.

I tried it. The game doesn't freeze anymore, but the sound goes out of sync :(

Honestly I'm just living with not being able to press ESC (until I'm ready to quit), because P.E.Op.S. gives by far the best sound and sync I've found so far.

I have a question. What is wrong with ePSXe SPU Core v1.7.0? I don't hear any difference in sound compared to the other plugins and I can ESC and Continue perfectly when I use it.

I was using it at first too, and yeah it seemed pretty good except sync in the FMVs was way off. P.E.Op.S. isn't perfect either, but like 95% better. That's just for me though. I think it depends a lot on PC setups, so your mileage may vary.

Was it in certain FMVs or in all the FMVs? 'Cause I don't have any problems with the ones from the beginning and Jonathan's Office.

I think it's on all cutscenes, but you can't really notice it in the first two. It becomes very obvious for me during the
Spoiler:
car explosion, Lorriane's death, and first meeting with Ed.
It gets worse as the movies play, they start in sync then gradually drift. P.E.Op.S. is the same except the drift is much less.

Yeah, I just saw it now. It's too bad. Can't talk on MSN and play at the same time :(

I've been playing around with the video sync issue in epsxe and may have found a way to improve it. The end sequence went obviously out of sync so I've been testing with that sequence mainly, but I have found that fixing the frame rate at 59.65 fps gives almost perfect sync. Whatever spu you use will have to be in thread mode for this. I've also tested this against the intro video with good results.

This does cause some problems however. The frame limiter must be returned to auto before the end credits start or there is no music over them, therefore it's possible that it could cause problems elsewhere. Also, the audio in the videos before the title menu "pops". This can be avoided by starting with the auto limiter on, and the switching to manual before starting the game. Hope this helps people.

59.94 is the standard rate for NTSC, have you tried that?

Yup, goes noticeably out of sync. At what should be the correct frame rate the video seems to run every so slightly too fast, causing the audio sync issues.
