I stated collecting a while back, actually my friend at work got me more into it. He collects all kinds of toy figures. Batman, Predator, Terminator, Castlevania, Star Wars, ect..... No video games though. I showed him the Metal Gear Medicom and Sideshow toys that I like and he seems very impressed with the way they look. He didn't take this people collecting Metal Gear stuff seriously, UNTIL I showed him violentsnake's collection..........BWAP!!!! A slap in the face to him! He didn't know people took this game so seriously! He said that your collection was unbelievable! Even though he wasn't in to that kind of stuff. So there you have it violentsnake, your collection draws even people that are not interested in Metal Gear! So where are you guys from?
I'm from Texas too.......born and raised. Where are you at within the state?

And don't lie to these people............we all ride horses and wear cowboy hats. :) .......................no really.

The last picture is a replica of the 5 foot version. So it's like the little twin. Everything looks really superb. Just make sure you have a girl with small hands around to help you with it. Because I sure as hell would have had a lot of trouble if it weren't for my girlfriend.

Well, since I came home for our mid-semester break I assembled the 5 foot by 3 foot one, and will just take the little one back to school with me in a few days and put it together there. It's cool because they are EXACT replicas, but just different sizes which to me, looks cool. So yeah, to answer your question, I am going to display both of them. That's why I bought them. I am keeping the original cardboard box they all came in (which is the first picture), and the rest of the items it came with. Total it came with:

1 Large VR Missions Standee (w/ instructions)
1 Small VR Missions Standee (w/ instructions)
1 Large VR Missions Game Display Box
2 Small VR Missions Game Display Boxes
1 Promo Flyer to Pre-Order the Game
1 Promo VR Missions Poster
1 VR Missions PS1 Game (the seller through in)

Until I move that is. Looks like next weekend or the one after I'll have to pack it up, and I move late next month.

What highway would you be taking to get to your new house? I'm sure me and some of the guys here would like to "help" you move. :D

if you need storage space during the time you move, or you need a mover, i'd gladly fly over to take those and watch over them =D

Heh, all this stuff is going to stay with my parents. I can't have it around while the realtor is doing open houses. I'm sending so much there I had to seriously increase my parent's house insurance. Most all my collectables are already there, just my MG stuff I like to keep around as long as possible.

Mantis and VP, very nice fellas!

I've not updated my website or this thread for ages with my new gear so here goes. Here's everything I've got that's new in the past few months that I've never shown before. All except for the posters in the other thread and my MGS3 TPN Soundtrack, for all of which I haven't finished writing up the descriptions yet.

Here goes:

All of which have writeups on my site. Check out all the latest stuff at:

i dont know what you mean by brrr... but if you are saying 100$ for promos is a cold deal because its paper, you MIGHT just want to keep it to yourself.

this is a COLLECTOR forum, we each value everything differently. we dont want to hear people whining about how some deal is cold for other users and then when you post up some promo and say I BUY $1000, it makes it a great item.

if i interpret this wrong, my apologies.

Thanks mate, I think News Bot has one listed in Joy Division that looks in good condition. I've not had much time to look at the book but it has a nice (small) Noriyoshi Ohrai MGS2 poster (if you are a fan of those particular scary prints! As for other artwork, I don't think there's a lot aside from motion capture and basic character renders and renders of the finished article. As I said though, I've not looked at it a lot so sorry bout that mate.

Thanks man, yeah I'm pleased to have finally got on the 'sealed' bandwagon! It's tough not opening that soundtrack to listen to it though! lol. It's worth it though as it is so much more rewarding in it's seal. Yeah the the Integral is special indeed! A highly recommended item indeed! :)

From back in the day in '04. Four fucking years ago. Shit. It's mostly all MGS2 and MGS stuff for that reason. I don't think I have a group photo since then with MGS3 stuff. And I don't even own MGS4.

$50,000 job lot if anyone wants it!
