Lol! I wish I had the money man!

That photo is awesome, I remember seeing it a few months ago and was just like...wtf? It's an inspiration mate and the collecting community will miss a collection as complete as that one.

$50,000 job lot if anyone wants it!
How bout a trade with this ;)

Framed it. (The frame did cost me more than the Cell). I will soon move all my MG-stuff to a new shelf =D

Hello,

First post. Anyways I've been collecting MGS stuff for a few years now but my collection doesn't even come close to many of the members here.

I was wondering how you guys get your hands on the Shareholder versions? Are you guys ACTUAL shareholders in Konami or Kojima Productions? If so how do I become one?

Well, My Metal Gears, Let Me Show You Them:

Once I get more DETOLF display cabinets then I'll post the rest including the MGS4 Figumates, MGS 20th Ann Medicom figures, etc.

In terms of why I began collecting MGS stuff. Well I played and I still have the NES versions of MG and Snakes Revenge. They were a gift to me when I was about 5 (don't really recall) anyways ENTER 1998 and MGS. My world was changed by how amazing that game was and ever since then I've been in love with the series and began branching into the world and mindset of Hideo Kojima.

I really wish I could have ANY of the true, rare items but I never really had the financial security in my "younger" days given several bad addi..."habits". Those days are now long behind me and now I can get back to the masterpiece that is MG.

Thanks!

I need to get two more of the those display cases. Man I just shed a tear looking at all those beautiful shareholders versions.
I still need to get a MGS2: Premium Package, MGS3: Subsistence w/Headset, and PSP/MGS: PO LE Pack before going anywhere in
that realm:(

Yeah? And what do you think collecting is? It's an addiction too, pal. You really wish you could have some of the truly rare items? Well, I do, and let me tell you something, it ain't all that fullfilling. I have every single Metal Gear figure (pics... well, somewhere around these threads) and it's not something you can brag about outside the MG collecting community. $300 for a freaking lego! Gimme a break!

Collecting this stuff is just as addictive and just as expensive as ANY additions you may have had in the past. There are always "rare" items. That will never stop. That's why I made MGS4 my final game as a collector. Figumates were my final puchase. It's too dang expensive and frankly most of the stuff really looses it's luster after a while. I do love Metal Gear. I built a website and kept it up for 8 years. But honestly, collecting is an addiction. I found myself buying MG memorabilia that I didn't even want to have! I bought for "collecting purposes". That's just a waste of money.

10 years! God only knows how many thousands of dollars:

THIS is additiction, pal. Well, the Figumates were my last fix. My last needle. I mean really! MGS characters remade as little girls! WTF!!! Still "had to have it" though... Gawd...

Couldn't tell you. There are parts of that collection that I would never sell. On the other hand, there are parts that I feel are useless.

This being a collectors board, what would you guys offer me for the Entire collection? Everything you see there.

5K, huh? Hmm... yeah, I guess that would be about right if we're just talking figures.
